That’s a dumbass article. Saw her at Jazz Fest in the ‘80’s. Awesome show.

Wow, what dumbasses!

If it had been some shitty Brit singer (KT Tunstall? Tom Jones?) they'd damned sure expect us to remember.

So what woke issue is she being rewarded for white knighting for? Seemed like nothing more than a celebration of the secular to me. Blacks, gays, men and women that refuse to admit they have a mental illness instead calling it trans and pretending that Beyonce is supposed to be the greatest entertainer of all time when she wouldn't be top 100 in the room.

I think you misunderstood the target of the article. It is an informative piece on her not a piece with no info on her. It clearly says she has 13 grammy wins.

So glad the Daily Mail has seemingly never heard of this unknown 73 year old and has labeled her as a blues singer. This our media today. LOL

It's stupid they whiffed on her popularity.
But while country and pop stations played her music over the years she's absolutely a blues artist.

She started out as a Blues singer and not uncommon to classify her as such

Record of the year goes to the performer of a song from an album or a single.

Album of the year is obviously a whole album and goes to the whole team(artist, producer, engineers, etc).

Song of the year goes to the writer.

I had to learn that just a few years ago myself.

More accurate would be "blues singer and guitarist."

"Just Like That" is a strong lyrical piece. Well deserved.
