Peter Coyote

Love this batshit crazy frick.

He started life in New York as Peter Cohon and grew up in rural and suburban Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Although he's reluctant to talk about it now, he intimates that the name change was part of a mystical experience. He didn't choose the name; it chose him. "I just took my real name," he says.

Your two are strong bro and I’d go with Morgan Freeman and James Earl Jones. The All State guy who played the President in 24 is in the running as well.

Keith David
He has worked on several documentaries. Ken Burns used Keith in Jazz, Mark Twain, The War, Unforgivable Blackness: The Rise and Fall of Jack Johnson, Jackie Robinson and Muhammad Ali.
Great actor too.

Or a reminder of where we may have heard their voices. Or a link

Original NFL highlight announcer... Everyone after tries and sound like him

He was awesome back in the day if you had mono-sound television.

Even with poor recordings his voice was still perfect for the reels

Attenborough’s age is incredible considering his recent catalogue. That man works extremely hard for being as old as he is

I can’t argue with who you chose, and in that order.

Was just coming here to say this. The adult voice of Ralphie from "A Christmas Story", which was first published in Playboy, after being a radio story.

quote:

In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash

You will see that at the beginning of the movie (which I watched for the first time, ever, this year). I couldn't figure out why the narrator wasn't in the credits, so I went back to the beginning, where Shepherd's name is first to come up.
