Like many of the dwindling group of Americans still taking precautions like masking indoors and limiting face-to-face interactions, Mx. Cherry, who uses gender-neutral courtesy titles and pronouns, had been fielding nudges to return to pre-Covid routines from all corners. Doctors’ offices that have dropped mask protocols encouraged Mx. Cherry to come in for a physical exam. Friends suggested repeatedly that gathering on the porch might be safe enough. And there was President Biden, who in remarks on CBS’s “60 Minutes” had declared the pandemic “over.”

For Nathanael Nerode, 46, the partner of Mx. Cherry, the imperative now is to educate others about the risks that remain. When friends say they are not worried about Covid because they have already had it, Mx. Nerode, who also uses gender-neutral courtesy titles and pronouns, sends them a link to academic papers that suggest reinfection is relatively common and each infection adds to the risk of severe outcomes. When friends say they do not mind if they get Covid because it will be only a cold, Mx. Nerode sends a paper suggesting that even mild cases can result in cognitive impairment.
“I’m fairly blunt,’’ said Mx. Nerode, who is also a member of Mx. Cherry’s game group. “So when somebody’s like, ‘Oh, I’m inviting you to this event,’ my response is, ‘You’re crazy. That event is dangerous. Don’t come crying to me when you get sick.’”

What a complete joke these last couple of years have been.

That’s ironic coming from Mx I’m Afraid of Everything making excuses for her social anxiety.

I think ultimately COVID will be one of those things that changes society and not for the better.
It's unfortunate that we'll never get the real truth on things like origin, real severity, real lethality, etc.

My BIL is dating this gal that wore her mask at the family get together yesterday. There were approximately 15 people there and this idiot deemed us unsafe enough to wear the mask so I deemed her mentally retarded enough to talk to her like I talk to my aunt who is actually mentally retarded. Baby sentences, speaking loudly and slowly, blindly smiling and nodding when she said something but not really paying attention to her.

Reading this gave me myocarditis.

They go out of their way to add these pronouns, point out gender-neutral/non-binary crap, and also point out non-hetero sexuality when it’s unnecessary and not relevant to article.
Quoted part from article could have been written with full name and then last name only like most articles are when not pandering.
How is “Mx” pronounced?

I wonder if these people never gave any thought to their own mortality and daily risk assessments before COVID? Their behavior has just been so bizarre for the duration of the pandemic and I can only say they just aren’t equipped to exist in a society with how they act.

Covid was just the last straw for a lot of mentally weak people, and the constant deluge of fear porn for two years has addicted them to the fear

these are the people eating tide pods trying to get high from them
these are also the same people hanging off the edge of cliffs to get that super cool selfie pic
these are also the same people who claim being 400 lbs isnt fat, its just being a larger than average healthy person
nothing these people do ever has a shred of logic attached to it

Using Mx.?

Mx probably buys its drugs on the street and goes home to get high alone. It makes no fricking sense to have to pull your mask down to snort, smoke or eat your drugs.

Oh and I'm not coming to your drag show after party cause I might catch Covid...
