The fact that this happened at 0545 and not 0930 probably saved some human lives.

The AquaDom was a 25-metre-tall (82 ft) cylindrical acrylic glass aquarium with built-in transparent elevator in Berlin, Germany. It was located inside the Radisson Collection Hotel[1] in the DomAquarée complex at Karl-Liebknecht-Straße in Berlin-Mitte. The DomAquarée complex also contains offices, a museum, a restaurant, and the aquarium Berlin Sea Life Centre. On 16 December 2022, the aquarium ruptured, destroying the construction.

Holy shite!! Here’s a video of the aftermath inside. I bet that was loud as hell! And yes if it happened any other time of day, people would have died. No question.

Aquariums seem like a big waste of money..

They are fun but I regret spending so much money on my aquariums over the years.

I should have spent it on your abortion instead.

That was my first thought.

The tank was elevated, so little risk of guests scratching it from the outside, and micro scratches on the inside wouldn't be noticeable from ground level.
