Tow Truck companies are regulated by LSP. File a complaint. They can take the company out of the call out rotation. My brother did it once and got results quickly after months of being d*cked around.

What do your other neighbors think about him blowing his horn at all hours of the night?

You need more people on your side.

this is the answer.

tow company in lafayette once left a defunct vehicle in my office parking lot because the towee couldn't pay for it.

i had to get the cops and then LSP involved to force them to remove it. took a few weeks.

Thanks for the LSP info, I will get on that soon.

We have been in contact with the Parish attorney. Supposedly body cam footage is being reviewed at multiple levels.

I have to go in person to file a complaint, I think that is utter BS but if it is what I have to do I will. I am not going now, I am going to give it directly to the captain.

I have him on my cameras saying "I done told him and I am telling him in front of y'all I am going to kick your mother fricking arse and that is a threat"

Immediately after this I have a cop telling me on another camera. " I don't think he is worried about repercussions" before telling me that if he comes in my yard to go inside and lock the door.

He owns the truck, he has a commercial lot 3 miles down the road. He has a place to park his truck. The truck isn't the issue. The issue was he was blocking the driveway. Then the issue was he was harassing me and my family after he was told he couldn't block my driveway. I didn't call the cops again once he stopped blocking my driveway, HE CALLED THE COPS ON ME for being legally parked in front of my home and they made me move while they let his illegally parked vehicle stay that he put there after mine was parked. Its a bunch of BS, I don't want to deal with this.

I am sure my future lawyer is telling me to STFU right now but I don't want monetary gains, I want the dude to leave me the frick alone.

I know there were things I couldn't prove in the past so the only tool I had was reporting his truck every time he harassed me.

Don’t be afraid to go in person.
Go with a friend, spouse, co worker who is a friend, or lawyer.

I had to do this one time.
They changed their tune when I brought a neighbor, who was fed up with the incident I complained about.
Sheriff, ended up solving the problem a lot faster and more responsive.

FYI, BRPD is a dept that has become worthless to the citizens of the city of BR. Really hate to say that as there are some officers that still care. Old days I met some of the officers in the 1990’s on the swat team along with Corporal LeDuff at the time. Those were top notch officers. Today, they need to disband it and merge it into the sheriffs office.

Police recruiting has been scraping the bottom of the barrel for years. It doesn’t surprise me that the quality of officers are friends with a low-life tow truck driver. You have to handle this outside of the police.

I see 3 options:

A: Park your wife’s truck in front of his, but 6” away from his bumper. Park your truck behind his, but 6”away from his bumper. Set up cameras that will record his truck 24 hrs a day.

That arse won’t be able to go to work in the morning or blow his horn. His only option will be to knock on your door (don’t answer), or cause serious damage to your vehicles (your lawyer will love this).

B: Frick his wife. If you go this route, be very careful about how this could be negatively perceived.

C: Call Kiran.

Make the trashy tow truck driver who DGAF ram your car and then go through the legal system to get him to pay for your car damage. Great idea.

Check local codes and see if he is in violation of an ordinance. If so, Document it on video a few days and go to the police station and file a complaint. They will send someone out to let him know he is in violation and will issue a warning. The next time he does it after that, call the police and let them have it towed. That would be awesome to have a tow truck towed.

He did get a ticket. That's something.

We are going to LSP tomorrow. It wasn't him parking at his house, it is him harassing my family because he is mad he can't block my driveway anymore. I told him, leave me alone and I will stop calling if he keeps it in the driveway. He doesn't want it like that. It is hilarious though that he is parking his personal truck on the street because he thinks it bothers me. It is just an inconvenience to him.

I really hope LSP can get access to BRPD body camera footage. I think if they see how he is they might do something.

I would make it about that truck and how he is probably drunk as frick driving it. Get his truck taken away. Ruin his life. Then maybe he will jump off a bridge.

The troopers probably know him also if they are local and he is on a parish call list. But their agency is also responsible for the tow enforcement so they may give a few more shits.

Please share his company information so we can destroy the company's Google rating even further.

The next time he disrespects your child put something hard across his head or just move. This has a good chance of not ending well for the both of y’all. If you have the means to move, then just eat that cost and be done with it.

I didn't read every message in this thread, but a great many of them.

Baw, you've got too much to lose and it sounds like the tow truck driver has nothing to lose. That makes it a lose-lose scenario for you. Do yourself a favor and move out.

You can read in the news all the time how some unstable person reacts with deadly violence over stupid shite. Don't let it come to that. Be the bigger man now by walking away.

We are looking at exit options, we still need an appropriate response from authorities.

Can anyone tell me what “charges pending” means in police talk?
