If Riverside towing came out to tow his, it would be freaking hilarious
BRPD uses Road Runner Towing and it's even more expensiver than Riverside!

Anyhow there is this guy with a tow truck that parks directly across from our driveway and it is HUGE. It makes it very difficult to get in and out with moving trucks and trailers. We have asked them (the driver is NEVER there) but his wife to have the vehicle moved and if they could park it somewhere else (like their long arse driveway) or just not directly across from our driveway so we don't hit it trying to get out.
What neighborhood is this? You May have a HOA or reside in a "district" that can levy fines on top of the BRPD's jurisdiction.

frick him. I would call the cops every time he is parked there. Residential streets aren’t for long term parking. If it’s too heavy for his that’s his problem not yours.
This. His solution to his problem is to make everyone else deal with it for him.
frick that guy.

You’re not the a-hole here, but recognize that now you’ve opened yourself up to his potential wrath. And he’s a tow truck driver so any time someone comes to your house I’d make sure they don’t park on the street at all.

I don't know about EBR parish, but in Jefferson Parish, it's illegal to park across from someone's driveway.

Can we get a pic? Of the truck & the wife. His wife, your wife, anybody’s wife around there will do. But definitely need to see how the truck is parked to make a determination.

my #1 rule is, never start shite with biker gangs or guys that drive tow trucks. both will kick your arse and then take all your shite
just ask yourself what you gonna do, and if its worth the risk, when you wake up, and find your truck is gone, because he dropped it off in the middle of drug town during the night

The best way to get this resolved quickly is to post about it on the NextDoor app

This is BRPD - they will just tell you over the phone that there’s nothing they can do and hang up.

Me, too, that’s why I posted it.

who parks an oversized vehicle directly across from their neighbors driveway for days on end? I thought that was dickish.

Wouldn't be cool if your last name was Hatfield and his last name was McCoy?
Seems like you have a generational feud on your hands, Baw.
Good luck with that and Merry Christmas.

He's a tow truck driver. No way he doesn't know the rules and he's towed plenty of people in the same situation. Have it towed. It will be awesome.
This. frick him

I'm assuming you already do since you sell guns for a living, but the best advice in here is to first setup a security system. You've already opened up the can of worms with a scumbag neighbor

Call code enforcement Monday.
Posted on 12/4/22 at 2:13 pm to armsdealer
This might be some of the CIty of BR parking codes
EBRP has similar ordinances.
I would take pictures.
Send to your council person.
Call Sid Gautreaux’s office
1) file a complaint
2) show picture
3) any logs of BRPD coming out on a call for the complaint
4) if there is an ordinance broken ask if the parking is a violation of that ordinance.
5) what time of day is it at night or during the day?
Give as much information as possible.
Usually you get a call pretty fast from someone in a Traffic division.
Again, they will not come during high traffic demand times as you have to respect they are dealing with accidents in service calls during morning or evening rush hour.

That's a pretty high number. When was the study done?
89% of people giving percentages on the internet just pull the number out of their arse. TIA for a link to the study you are citing.
