Yeah, but he’s got a tow truck. See?

As much as I would love to retaliate I know that is not practical and I don't want to risk things like my state licenses and FFL that has been brought up. FFL is actually easier to keep with an arrest than my state license.. an arrest gets me suspended until the outcome is determined.
So he definitely knows a lot of BR cops. They made him move it off the street so out of spite he is parking another vehicle directly behind my driveway. They won't make him move his car. They told me my complaint was "mundane" and they couldn't enforce every "mundane" complaint. The made sure to dap up the tow truck driver when they arrived.
Well it is illegal for him to park anywhere on his property since we are zoned A1. If he wants to be petty and not let us have access to our driveway I can be petty too. I'll get whoever I have to involved to make sure he is getting ticketed. I am going to look into it to see fi he even owns the truck tomorrow, if he doesn't the owner can get ticketed also. Hopefully talking to them might work. Honestly, I don't care if the guy parks it in his driveway, I don't care if the guy parks on the street, I care that the guy parks directly across from MY driveway making it inaccessible with a trailer or box truck.
The cops pulled the "where do you want him to park" schtick but I didn't make the laws. He acts all nice and cool in front of the cops but its all "frick you I am not moving my truck" when they aren't there. If I retaliate I know I will get the short end of the stick.
These are the two laws he is violating, I hope I can get someone to enforce it. We are zoned A1.
Sec. 11:441. - Time limitation on parking on any street.
No person shall permit his vehicle, either as an operator or registered owner, to remain parked on any street for a period of time longer than nine (9) hours of any twenty-four-hour period beginning at 6:00 a.m., of one day to 6:00 a.m., of the next day, and the vehicle can only be so parked if parking is specifically permitted under other provisions of this title.
Violation of the provisions of this section shall constitute a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than fifty dollars ($50.00) and imprisonment in the parish prison for not more than thirty (30) days.
(Ord. No. 14769, § 2, 9-9-09)
Sec. 11:442. - Parking of wreckers, buses, trucks and semitrailers prohibited.
(a)No person shall stop, stand or park or, as registered owner, permit the following described vehicles to be stopped, standing or parked upon or adjacent to any lot in the A1, A2, A2.5, A3 and A4 districts or upon the drive or in a yard between the residence and the street in recognized subdivisions.(1)Wreckers;(2)Buses for hire (excluding school buses used primarily for transporting children);(3)Trucks or semi-trailers with more than two (2) axles;(4)Trucks with a payload capacity of more than thirty-five hundred (3500) pounds.(b)For a first offense violation of this section, the fine shall be two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00). For a second offense within one (1) year, the fine shall be five hundred dollars ($500.00). For the third and subsequent offenses within a one-year period, the fine shall be seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00).
(Ord. No. 14769, § 2, 9-9-09; Ord. No. 14801, § 2, 10-28-09)

Simplest solution is park one of your vehicles in that spot once he leaves.
But he might tow you for illegally parking on the street and/or for parking in front of a driveway.

I can't fight this battle with my vehicle, he has a tow truck. I park behind a rod iron gate so as long as I stay in my lane he can't do anything but I am not going to win if he tows me. Trackers are now in all vehicles just incase....
We asked him not to park blocking our driveway, He had a million excuses why he had to block our driveway. 1. He couldn't block his own driveway because then he couldn't get in and out... 2. He can't park in his driveway because the truck is too heavy and would damage his driveway 3. He can't park in front of other houses. He then started with the "the frick you I can park my truck where I want" because I was "unreasonable" for wanting him to not block my driveway.
The dumbest of all this shite, his driveway is big enough to park the truck and several vehicles. Its wide enough to park two rows of cars side by side EVEN his big arse tow truck.

Tow truck drivers are human vultures.

This.
And they know they are pieces of shite, hence the attitude.
As much as it is tempting to do damage to his truck or the like, your best bet is to use the law and video evidence to your advantage. Keep your actions within the law, and don't let him slide an inch.
Because he's friends with cops, it's a bit uphill for you. But keep escalating as best you can. The law is on your side.

I had a neighbor across the street that parked trailers of scrap across from my driveway. Would not move them. I had to call the police a dozen times and they eventually started ticketing him. After several tickets the city towed away the trailers. Then his dog tried to eat my wife and I had to shoot it but that’s a different story

Not taking the tow truck drivers side.
However, how narrow is the street?
My neighbor parks across from my driveway (in a suburb) and I have never had an issue with backing in or out of my driveway.
Are you able to parallel park a full sized truck? Or do you own a smart car and need a full space to parallel park?
Just asking to judge how much more you suck at driving than the average woman.

If I could work around I would have. There is a fire hydrant on one side and line of bushes on the other side of the driveway. It was a massive wrecker and I just wanted not behind my driveway.
Update if anyone cares. Finally some reasonable cops came out and made him move the vehicles. I just wanted the tow truck not blocking my driveway but they told him he can’t park it in the neighborhood at all or they would ticket him AND tow him.
Also, it is illegal to park across the street from someone’s driveway in Baton Rouge. It is considered blocking access. Took a few tries but the head of the traffic division saw my daily pictures and said it was 100% illegal and got it taken care of.
Thanks to those in BRPD for the help, even those that didn’t agree with my understanding of the law. I am glad it is right in the end.

I hope you realize this is far from over. He’ll behave for a while but I can guarantee it will return at some point. If it does seeing as you mentioned the proximity of a fire hydrant I’d suggest you try and involve the BRFD next time too.

after playing it nice like you have, and then this happens, i would have plowed the frick out of that car with my truck nuts hanging off my hitch. would have put something behind the two tires as well so that the car flipped over on it's side.
frick that a-hole

He's a douche. Seems completely normal to know when someone is moving in maybe don't park on the street right by their driveway.

It’s like that most places to prevent people from constantly backing into other vehicles
Common sense really. Your neighbor is a dickhead

It’s taken care of for now. I actually ended up knowing the supervisor of the officer that handled it. He came out to get the encounter on camera…. It had no effect on the outcome, he knew the tow truck driver too. I didn’t want to go scorched earth with the guy or I would have outed his company in multiple places. In researching he has been taking title and scrapping cars of customers when insurance and the body shops that have been backed up from supply chain issues. Based on the complaints I found he doesn’t even give the customer a chance to pay the storage fees, he just claims title with zero communication but what else do you expect from these types.
