I think it is finally time we made the transition to a fake tree. Does anyone have a recommendation on some that look realistic? Ideally a Noble Fir.

10 years ago I convinced my wife that artificial is the way to go. Loved the holiday life ever since.

Have had an artificial pretty much my entire life. Natural sets of my allergies, and I spend the season sick.

Same. 2nd year with this one (replacement for the 10 foot we had for 9 years). Pre-lit, and the "trunk" sections are the plugs between the sections.

Have had artificial trees for at least 20 years.

this is exactly what we have. i had real as a kid....i will never have those fire hazards in my house. MY dad was a nazi about the water adn the clean up cause he was always scared and once we got in HS he switched.....after that we realized should have a long time before.

the mess, the bugs, the fire hazard, pain in the arse overall.....screw all that.

Me and my wife had fake our entire marriage, going real this year because I think it’s my kids last year believing in Santa and I want to do a real before that ended. Will switch back to fake next year, buts that’s only for like 1 of the 6 trees they put up lol.

Luckily both my wife and I are the same. And we get the fattest 12 footer we can find. This year it’s 12 ft tall and 7.5 feet wide.

Years ago, I burned our Christmas in the back yard tree rather than drag it out to the street. Yea, kinda trashy but I was drinking and it was fun. That thing went up in a matter of seconds with just a match. It was scary to think what that would be like if it caught fire in the house. You have no chance if a real tree catches fire in the house. From that day on, it's been artificial.

We have a 6 foot artificial tree on the front porch. It was our old tree. Our new tree is a 7 foot artificial inside. Both purchased after Christmas.

That’s funny. This is my 2nd year ever switched to a real tree, and I love it so much that I think it’ll be a long time before I go back to artificial, if ever.

I’m even switching all interior and exterior garland to real this year.

Every time I put up the artificial tree I always laugh at how stubborn I was about getting a real tree and the BS I went through to get it in and out of the house every year.

I actually enjoy that process as part of tradition and especially going to pick out a tree. I am guessing you replaced your grass with artificial turf in your yard to avoid cutting or having it cut?

Add the nasty bugs that can be in the trees (we had a bunch of baby spiders come crawling out one year) and the mess and making sure it’s watered….there really is no positive to a real tree except the smell.

We switched this year. Tree prices were getting outrageous and last year the place cut ours crooked and it fell over twice spilling water everywhere. That was the last straw.

This is the first time in like 15 years I've had a real tree and I couldn't be happier with going back. The fake tree was freaking miserable, but to each their own.

we are the opposite. My wife has been looking at import SUVs. I am about to buy her one with the condition that she switches to artificial tree.
