Short of the gun room, I dont have a space big enough to hide the monstrosity that is the 10ft tree my wife got.
It's over 5ft in diameter

We went artificial perhaps 15 years ago after nearly coming to blows over arranging the lights on a real tree. Never again.
Takes about 5 minutes to set up the latest pre-lit tree and it looks really good.
We actually have two trees and one stays up all year as a seasonal tree.

My parents switched to artificial 30 or so years ago and gave my wife and I one as an early Christmas present the first Christmas we were married. I haven’t had a real one since I was a kid in the 80’s. I actually forget people get real ones until I see them on the curb after every new year! ??

Have had the same fake one for 15 years now and I may have to get rid of it soon. Bought it for around 100, so I have gotten my money's worth. Used to do real trees as a kid, but never really saw the difference besides smell. But I live near the woods, so for me, what's the difference?

As long as I have been a kid - it’s been a tradition to go pick a real tree. That may end soon as kids are getting close to college age. We shall see. I love the smell of a real Christmas tree and will opt for the Charlie Brown size when I’m older.

id definitely go with the artificial tree. I mean, if I had family or anyone else to spend the holidays with.

I do an artificial tree, too, but the negative with them is when one year you put it back in the box fully working and then take it out next year and only half is working.

That's the reason I went with an unlit artificial tree. Doesn't take that long to put lights on and I never have to worry about a section of it not working.

Team real tree, but I have little kids, and I live in the mountains of NC where you cut Christmas tree farms are everywhere. I do have a fake tree for the basement though.

My parents have been married for almost 50 years. They are on their second artificial tree.
When their first one broke in half, basically disintegrated, after 35 years of service, my mom was devastated.

We've always done real trees too but the kids are older and don't care anymore. Might just get a fake one at this point

I'm still using the 7' tree I got on sale from K-Mart 35 years ago.

Such a waste of time going to some creepy hillbilly Christmas tree farm too.

Most of my family has allergies to trees so we all have fake. Team bad genes here.

Jesus and Santa Claus take notes on who has fake trees.

Same. 2nd year with this one (replacement for the 10 foot we had for 9 years). Pre-lit, and the "trunk" sections are the plugs between the sections.
Have had artificial trees for at least 20 years.

I had real all my life. But last year there was a little bit of a shortage in my area. There were trees to be had but the prices were so high for shitty looking trees. We said frick that and went and picked up a nice artificial that was on sale for $150.

We switched back to real three years ago. I may go back to artificial one day, but I'm enjoying the real ones for now.
