What about unsolved hit and runs ?.. I know the 2 girls ran over on Lobdell a few months ago are not counted in the homicide numbers

Warrants, unlicensed, felons in possession of illegal guns, drugs, uninsured.

One out of every four drivers in BR is uninsured.

The list could go on and on.

Especially that’s been in an accident- I think auto repair shops would probably notify police when they try to get it repaired

He said illegal guns shouldn't be a thing. Yes stolen guns are illegal guns as well, but there are other ways a gun is illegal.

BRPD could have spoken to an eyewitness. That intersection at Ben Hur on a Saturday night has a lot of vehicle traffic.

BRPD will almost certainly not solve this. If you aren’t an honest person why would you stop?

The first 48 is the most important. By Tuesday BRPD will literally give up on the murder probably.

Drunk kid hits pedestrian
Shits his pants and leaves scene
Go to bed to sleep it off
Calls rich dad in morning
Dad calls rich lawyer
Driver comes forward saying he did it but never saw person and thought it was a deer

If memory serves, I don’t think it’s very well lit.

One of my pet peeves is hiw poor our street lighting is. Every major intersection should be lit. Street lighting should be repaired and bulbs replaced in short order; yet poles are bulldozed and lights remain out for months and months.

I know Ben Hur at 30 is too dark, abd I believe Ben Hur st Burbank is too.

Contact entergy. They're pretty good about addressing lights in an area

The huge lights over the 110/190 stack interchange by the airport have been out for at least a year.

And they’ve done shite for replacing the old cobra heads with LEDs.

Well i mean there are laws about crossing the road as a pedestrian. Not trying to pick sides, but if not in a crosswalk….

quote:

LRS 32§213. Crossing at other than crosswalks A. Every pedestrian crossing a roadway at any point other than within a marked crosswalk or within an unmarked crosswalk at an intersection shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles upon the roadway. B. Between adjacent intersections at which traffic-control signals are in operation pedestrians shall not cross at any place except in a marked crosswalk. Acts 1962, No. 310, §1; Acts 2012, No. 811, §9, eff. July 1, 2012.
