Russian state media has claimed the device can create a 1,600-ft. wave that smashes into the coast and irradiates it.

At this point, which is the least trustworthy? U. S. State media, or Russian state media?

Yes, still one of my favorite movies, despite Alec Baldwin being in it. I'll watch it and Terminator 2 any time I see them on.

It would take an insane explosion to produce a tsunami at all, much less a 1600 ft one.

That's what submarines normally do, that's why they're called submarines

You jest, but a Swedish diesel-powered sub gave the US Navy hell in a game this century.

Murmansk Brushing incident

Gotta love that a sub named the Baton Rouge was involved in a collision, considering our interstate traffic woes.

What’s the all-star list of movie submarine slippers for this fiasco? Already have references to “Red October” and “Down Periscope.” How about some “Hunter Killer”?

Gerald Butler’s character was even on the Baton Rouge when the collision happened!

That Red Boomer is either sitting at the bottom of the White Sea or it's in transit to Cuba or Venezuela with a Royal Navy or US Navy attack boat not far behind. Either way, the Pentagon knows exactly where it is.
