Cheng's (in old Omi building) is killer.

I went three times when it first opened and just didn’t like it. Omi was one of my favorites.

damn. can't really speak to when they first opened but I've enjoyed everything I've had in the times I've gone.

This is the type of answer I clicked on this thread for. My favorite sandwich on earth. I'll have to go out there and get it one day.

I also just went down their Instagram page rabbit hole. Holy moly - what talent they have! I'm almost disappointed I've already ordered my wedding cake.

All their pressed sandwiches are fantastic.

That Popeye's groom's cake was seriously cool.

famous spots in Philly. None of them topped Philly Me Up or South of Philly down here.

If you're ever in Arlington, VA, I would put up Mario's Pizza House steak and cheese sub with mayo, slaw, pickles. Way better than those famous spots in Philly.

There's a lot of meh philly cheesesteaks out there. Don't think i've ever had a good one at a sit down restaurant.

Philly me up ain't one of them. Such a simple sandwich, but when it's made with the right ingredients, it's the tits, and philly me up, is the tits.

Cafe Mimi is one of those spots where the staff learns your name and your regular order. Just a stellar lunch place, and a damn good breakfast biscuit too.

The new sandwich counter at Martins Wine Cellar is damn good. Not sure how popular it is so it may not fall under the category of “underrated”, but it was really dead when I went there.
