Costco has huge ones around $100. I bought two for my family reunion and everyone raved about them. Used a bake in a turkey cooking bag recipe I have had for years
country corner on Perkins, Tonys on Plank
Inside the main building the Spotted Horse was surprisingly good to me. Well seasoned I guess because people in that area are generally good Louisiana cooks. Don't expect good beer or wine from the racetrack bars. I like the indoor pool at the hotel as well.....the hot tub is usually out of order. Have fun!!

There’s a huge nice house on ebony avenue a few miles from LSU. Perfect neighborhood. Can walk to tons of bars and restaurants
We had the gumbo dumplings yesterday. They noodle dough was so dry it would almost choke you, and they were very flavorless and underwhelming. I would not recommend. Maybe they were better on prior years? I don't know , as this was our first time to try them and we both said never again will we get them. I saw so many people eating the whole fried fish from next door to the dumpling booth, and it looked huge and they looked like they were enjoying it.

Njoy for Indian, very delicious, feels like a family owned and operated place
Beausoliel or French Market Bistro if you are talking about Baton Rouge.
What/where is bier house? I tried googling it. Never heard of it
I found it in podcast form. That’s how I’m gonna check it out. Thanks for the tip!!
I love and crave their brisket breakfast taco and/or burrito but I’ve never had the sandwich. The brisket itself is tender and amazing in my opinion
