Salmon patties. My mom made them with saltines. They would suck all the moisture out of your mouth but I kinda miss them.

Ground beef and carrots. My mom would cut up carrots into small pieces and cook it down with some ground beef, onion, and garlic.

We eat it a lot, because it is quick and simple, and the kids all love it, but every now and again even when I have time to prepare something better I get an envie for it.

The other thing that really takes me back is field peas with either dove, squirrel or rabbit. Field pieces got harvested in september/october, so we ate that with game meat at least twice a week growing up. I will cook that a few times every fall.

Two of the worst casualties form childhood. Both need to come back asap.

So many wonderful fall nights mom would make chili or taco soup and have those twists with them. Just heavenly.

OMGeeee... I'd forgotten about this, but again with butter instead of peanut butter. We whipped this up and ate it for breakfast on biscuits from the night before....

Mine would be when my mom went out of town, my dad would feed us spam for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

So much fricking spam.

What's 7 steak?
7-bone steak is from the chuck section of the steer or heifer and it includes a cross cut of the shoulder blade. The bone is shaped like a "7", which gives the steak its name.

We do too. I think I used Pioneer Woman's recipe years ago and just tweaked it until it tasted similar to the sloppy joes my grandmother makes

A Manwich is a sandwich but a Manwich is a meal.

IDK, but I too used to get these all of the time. Then we couldnt find them but there was a store near us that sold different drinks by the case and gramps would sometimes pick up a box of yoohoo.

Yes, but in my mind they were so much better.

And a quick google search shows they quit production in 1996.

Bisquick Impossible Pie. Pretty darn simple and cheap, basically a quiche, I freaking loved them. Haven't had one since I lived at my parents right at 18 years ago now
