Probably not your issue, but when my wife got her new car, buried in the vehicle settings was a feature to almost mute the radio and alert the driver to a traffic camera. The only problem was that the car's "voice" was turned down so low you couldn't hear it. We drove all around baton rouge for 2 days before we figured out what was going on.

There is a camera on college at the interstate that could explain it.

do commercial airplanes ever approach over that spot? I believe the RF signals from the ILS approach systems at the airport can cause interference with Bluetooth.

Happens to me there everyday with wireless AA, and occasionally at different spots along the interstate.

I drive that area frequently and haven't noticed this problem. I will pay closer attention tomorrow.

I remember hearing that the area where the FLAIM school is (former Valley Park School) was once a landfill back in the day. There were evidently environmental studies done before moving FLAIM there. (Oddly enough I was thinking about this as I drove past today). Possibly the land there still holds onto some rediofrequencies from what may have been put in the landfill long ago.

Some of the posters here may remember more than me, I'm only 35 and always recall a school being there.

Bluetooth spec is 10 meters at relatively very low power, someone is overpowering it with a transmission at a close adjacent frequency.

Likely Microwave Relay antenna(s) used for ethernet hops between a companies nearby offices that's splattering within the Bluetooth and WiFi spectrum.

In other words, the interfering signal is "out of tune" and creating a high power interfering signal in the 2.5 ghz range. This is a very simplified explanation.

The FCC used to have a "sniffer" van with spectrum analyzers based in Baton Rouge, equipped with receiving equipment to find all types of RF interfering signals. I can't find a local number, call their national office in D.C. at 1-888-225-5322 and register a complaint.

FCC seriously takes licensees operating outside their legally permitted frequency and power spectrum. Good luck if you decide to pursue, it may take a while to get through the bureaucracy.

But, once done they'll take you seriously and follow up. They love finding this type of stuff and dropping the hammer.

I have this problem everyday. I live on Tupello right off Lee and it sucks balls trying to use carplay or bluetooth when I am leaving or returning home.

I’ve noticed, at least for Verizon, that the blocks around and including the St Aloysious area just south of there are a dead zone for cell service even with the 5g tower they put up in the Stuart median.

XM should work because it is line of sight with the satellite.

Normally it only goes out if you are in either an area with a lot or tall building like downtown BR or under some sort of cover.
