Bluetooth spec is 10 meters at relatively very low power, someone is overpowering it with a transmission at a close adjacent frequency.
Likely Microwave Relay antenna(s) used for ethernet hops between a companies nearby offices that's splattering within the Bluetooth and WiFi spectrum.
In other words, the interfering signal is "out of tune" and creating a high power interfering signal in the 2.5 ghz range. This is a very simplified explanation.
The FCC used to have a "sniffer" van with spectrum analyzers based in Baton Rouge, equipped with receiving equipment to find all types of RF interfering signals. I can't find a local number, call their national office in D.C. at 1-888-225-5322 and register a complaint.
FCC seriously takes licensees operating outside their legally permitted frequency and power spectrum. Good luck if you decide to pursue, it may take a while to get through the bureaucracy.
But, once done they'll take you seriously and follow up. They love finding this type of stuff and dropping the hammer.
This is an incredible explanation and I believe every word of it. If I find the time tomorrow, I'll try calling and see if I can ruffle some feathers so that we can all listen to our favorite media while in the line at chickfila.

Yep, I’ve resorted to using wired CarPlay rather than wireless because I work in the area. It starts going out near the fire station/B-Qwik on Perkins and extends all the way to Bawell. And that whole corridor to beyond College just makes it drop. I assumed it had something to do with the big power lines that cross around there, but frankly don’t know what causes it.

All that NIL money flowing through that area is bound to f’up blue tooth and college football at same time.

Must be some older relays.
Some of the newer unlicensed band stuff for point to point intraoffice networking is in the 60 GHz, 24 GHz, and 11 GHz bands. Those devices give Gigabit speeds between points. Ubiquity also still makes 2.4 and 5.8 GHz gear, but for the interference reasons, I wouldn’t expect someone using those band except for a last resort with cellphones and other devices looking to connect via wifi or Bluetooth.
I know some musicians that have trouble with some wireless 2.4 GHz guitar transmitters that are 3 feet from their receiver and have no usable signal.
If it major issue just use a chord that way your phone gets charged.
I have seen on my IPhone 13 Pro Max have some connectivity issues in some areas. I noticed in Metairie on I-10 between Best Buy and Causeway my phone switches to 5G+ on AT&T. Also, in New Orleans East near 510 it will switch to 5G+ there too. I only notice a major drop when my phone has not built up enough of a buffer to handshake to the 5G+ network.

Thought it was just my truck stereo acting up but but happens to me every day right about Perkins and Stewart.

Same thing happened to me last week both times I passed through. Disconnected my wireless CarPlay.

Aliens.....probably grays or the reptilian types.

There has always been FM interference around there too.

I drove through that area once. Could have been me.

Have been experiencing the same and wondered WTF. Didn’t really notice until using a rental car and using the coupled cell phone feature and it drops right there every time. Wondered WTF.

Didn’t the Secret Service have an office there as well?
not sure - I’ve only ever known of the office off of Sherwood
4th floor of the brown and root building next to movie tavern. Interference doesn’t usually start until exiting westbound at college so probably not them.

I don’t drive through that area much, but I lose data/internet all throughout Southdowns/Lee Drive. Whatever song is already on will keep playing; but I can’t change songs on Spotify or check anything that runs on data like emails.

Acadianband Bawell.
That's the LWCC building. The DEA offices and cells were on the third floor. They had already moved out when I worked there. The building was remodeled a couple of years ago and those old offices were demolished.

I find that it happens on the new miss river bridge, on the port allen side above the port of baton rouge.

what the hell could be transmitting a signal strong enough to cause interference on bluetooth in this area?
The bat cave is located under the IHOP and WalMart parking lot.

I've had a similar problem at Jefferson near Claycut. The is a fire station in each locale.
