Back in 1900, when the Wonderful Wizard of Oz was written, "queer" meant anything that was "strange" or "odd". Same as how "gay" used to mean "happy" until about the mid 20th century.
The pandering and ignorance during their interviews should be embarrassing for them. But yes, I'm sure the chickens are still 21st century gay.

As a single woman in her 30's, I have a difficult time believing this. There is either more to the story, or it's just made up.

The only one that I know is closed is on Government St. The one on Drusilla and the one on Bluebonnet are still kicking.
I drive that area frequently and haven't noticed this problem. I will pay closer attention tomorrow.
I remember hearing that the area where the FLAIM school is (former Valley Park School) was once a landfill back in the day. There were evidently environmental studies done before moving FLAIM there. (Oddly enough I was thinking about this as I drove past today). Possibly the land there still holds onto some rediofrequencies from what may have been put in the landfill long ago.
Some of the posters here may remember more than me, I'm only 35 and always recall a school being there.

You're probably correct.
I hope us taxpayers can come together and get something done. The crime has been out of control for far too long. Maybe I'm a dreamer.

I've been in lines with these people before. I've seen video footage of fast food fights, water parks, etc. My theory is Ally was attempting to turn around via a vacant building parking lot, near the railroad tracks (you know, 'take an alternate route') and maybe didn't see the killer, and nearly hit them. I imagine that level of "disrespect" would warrant murder in the culture these days, not simply a group beat down.
No way am I trying to justify. I just wouldn't be surprised if the culture hasn't evolved past just smashing your head into concrete for skipping a line, or accidentally bumping into someone walking toward you... that didn't move either. It's a sad and totally fricked up world we're living in. I'm hoping to see a recall petition soon. This City is going down fast.

Hard boiled egg, cut in half. Shake some Tony's and a squiggle of sriracha. Oddly delicious and satisfying.

[2) I sometimes use hummus as a spread on sandwiches instead of mayo or mustard. Do you have any other things you use in this way?]
