May she Rest In Peace.

A long fruitful life lived with an interesting perspective on events that saw the world change before he eyes..

She was an important figure that provided a sensible path bridging the relics of the Victorian age to the modern world.

She was graceful, mindful and prideful of the Monarchy’s progression to the modern world.

Boy that's quite a whitewash of her reign.

When The Smiths sang The Queen is Dead in 1986, it must have seemed kind of edgy. The old girl had another 36 years in her.

My contacts in London have been sounding the alarm for months. They’re about to be facing serious blackouts next month. England will be out of fuel in 30 days. England will be out of food in 90 days if nothing is done. The doctors and nurses may be going on strike in 2 weeks. England’s already weak economy will collapse inside of 60 days without serious intervention.

netting a better trade deal with the U.S. to get access to more fuel and food, making serious changes to energy policy and infrastructure VERY quickly to increase their gas supply and winter stockpiles so people don’t freeze to death,

Probably doesn’t help having a new King who’s had some very vocal opinions surrounding these issues.

God saved the Queen many years ago and since then she has quietly and consistently professed her faith in her Lord Christ. If this is to be her glory day may she have an abundant entrance into the presence of the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Huh. She wasn’t perfect but she held that country together during some difficult times.. people seem to believe she had real policy influence when her role was idealistic.. the mere fact that she’s held relevancy for 70 years is remarkable

Liz Truss doesn’t play this perfect, The UK will be a failed state within 3 months. The Queen dying, possibly the sole source of cultural unity among the people, is dead. The UK is seeing energy prices spike 5000%, they have no natural gas storage capacity, are facing rolling blackouts, their economy is in shambles, food has tripled in price, the pound has never been weaker verses the dollar, Northern Ireland and Scotland are on the brink of secession, and Liz Truss is taking over as prime minister without any real popularity among the people. The UK is a powder keg right now of Balkan proportions.

Ehh, English Premier League kicks off soon. That's what binds that country. They'll be fine.

RIP to the lady but thank goodness football weekend is about to commence because I imagine the “news” channels will be 24/7 on this.

I’ve never personally quite understood America’s long obsession with the British royalty (and my own bloodlines go back to England).

I came here to post essentially the same thing. News will be unbearable for the next week-ten days.

She employed a spy for decades as her closest aide. She presided over the destruction of the empire. The UKGBNI lost more power and influence under her reign then in any other period in history. Graceful? Eh. I don't think Lady Di would have agreed with that.

She inherited an empire and left a country on the brink of fracture. By any objective measure, her reign was a disaster.

Her Majesty was a devout Christian who served her country, church, and family well. A long life lived with dignity and devotion!
