He held the ball longer than any SEC QB this week. Some were warranted but most of the time he just didn’t find guys and the sky cam shows that.

You wanna act like a Prima Donna and skip practice for months when you are injured? You wanna threaten to transfer and get paid big $ to stay? If so, you make it your business to make those catches more often than not. He has more games to prove that the first one was the anomaly, go prove it.

The first TD pass attempt was under thrown and not a reasonable catch to expect a receiver to make, even a great one. People are simply hating on the kid for things that weren’t his fault.

The second one was on him. Not focused and not even expecting it. Clearly some disconnect, but he needs to expect a pass to him as a possibility every play.

So he dropped one TD not two.

You could make a case for the second not being a drop but the first was definitely a drop. It hit him in the hands.

Every elite receiver catches that ball 99 out of 100 times and calls the one out of 100 a drop.

The second was on him for assuming the ball wouldn't come to him, IMO. Basically what you said. But the opposite argument is that he read the safety over the top and saw the bracketed coverage and thought the proper read was another route (and that is probably right). But I think as a receiver you always play it out as though you will get the ball.

My take on everything with Boutte here is that the first drop got in his head and affected this game. I expect him to get back to what we saw from him as a freshman very quickly and this was simply a bad game, that happens.

I don't think it was under thrown but I agree that he did not drop it. He made a good play on a 50/50 ball, had it in his hands, and the defender made a good play to knock it out.

It’s not hate to point out facts. He had 2 TDs that didn’t happen because he didn’t catch a ball. The first was a drop. Ball was in his hands. Defender play doesn’t matter unless it’s batted away.

I expect a first round pick to absolutely catch a ball that is in his hands, and to also know the ball is coming to him when everyone including the other team, announcers, and fans know a pass is going his way.

He thinks he's in the same club as Chase, catch that damn ball.

Again 55 drop backs. That’s means almost 40% of the time a pass was called he decided to run.

And was successful doing it. What’s the issue?

I guess he should have thrown it another 5 yards OOBs. Boutte got both hands on it. If he thinks he is as good as he thinks he is, he should have caught it.

He didn’t even try to catch the 2nd that nearly hit him in the chest.

..and he just dropped the other two.

6 targets, 2 catches. He should have caught 5 at minimum.

BS! Most of the time he would.
Are you forgetting the missed TD pass in the NCG? He miss judged the path of the ball.

With a more reliable QB, Boutte makes that reception. He has no confidence in Daniels.

Im sorry. That first pass dropped right in his hands. His hype alone would have caught that pass.
