After consideration...Red Dawn should be in the conversation for greatest war movie

Many who live in America today would not enjoy the movie. They prefer the Russians/Putins over the Wolverines.

I remember seeing it in theater and leaving and looking up outside to see if paratroopers were dropping in.

I like Red Dawn but it'll take a miracle for any war movie to overcome Saving Private Ryan in my mind.

My personal favorite is Gallipoli. The Big Red One is also up there, as is SPR, The Great Escape and Victory.
