After consideration...Red Dawn should be in the conversation for greatest war movie

Many who live in America today would not enjoy the movie. They prefer the Russians/Putins over the Wolverines.

I remember seeing it in theater and leaving and looking up outside to see if paratroopers were dropping in.

I think I was 10 when it came out. Parents refused to let me see it.

I like Red Dawn but it'll take a miracle for any war movie to overcome Saving Private Ryan in my mind.

I appreciated that is was bleak, and outside of the Cuban officer letting them get away, remained that way.

My personal favorite is Gallipoli. The Big Red One is also up there, as is SPR, The Great Escape and Victory.

You’d better be talking about the original from the 80s, because that remake was absolute dog shite.
