Not that it's a big deal and it has very little to do w/if the movie is good or not but I'm really sick of how in movies and tv shows 95% of the time when a car hits somebody it just keeps on driving like nothing happened.

Was Death Wish a super-hero movie?

That's a whole 'nother thread.
But yeah, put a mask or cape on Bronson and he's The Shadow or The Crimson Avenger.

That looks awesome.

I can't find anywhere to purchase these books, so apparently we're even adapting comic books no one has ever heard of at this point. At least it looks pretty awesome. I hope this is as good as that trailer makes it out to be.
ETA: Actually the writer says he wrote the script first, and then adapted it into a comic. Twitter Link

That looks pretty good. Weird seeing ole Euron Greyjoy too.

The kcene where the kid is telling him he's Samaritan reminds me of the son in Unbreakable (2000). The one that wanted to shoot his dad to prove it wouldn't kill him.

Count me in. Has sort of a Fatman vibe

Pretty sure it's unique to this film and not supposed to be any established comic character.
According to IMDB:

The film is inspired by Unbreakable (2000) and Finding Forrester (2000).

Thoroughly enjoyed it, but im a sucker for sly action flicks

It was OK for me, maybe 5/6 of 10 but worth a watch if you want to turn your brain off for 1.5 hours. I hadn't read the books so I could have used a lot more of the backstory and because I had turned off my brain the twist was interesting, coming from graphic novels I did expect it to be more gritty. I also felt several times Sly had gone to the Mike Ehrmantraut school of acting, not only with mannerisms but the generally crusty old guy bit, which is not to say it is a bad thing but when I saw Mike I just couldn't unsee him.

I watched it today. 5/10 at best. Sly was decent. The plot and twist were obvious. The acting was meh. The effects were meh.
