Dr Kristin Collier:
How she went from being a very pro-choice anti-theist to directing the University of Michigan Medical School's Program on Health, Spirituality, and Religion and giving talks on pro-life feminism

University of Michigan Medical Students Walk Out on Pro-Life Speaker at Initiation Ceremony
quote:
Incoming University of Michigan Medical School students staged a walkout of the school’s White Coat Ceremony Sunday to protest the choice of a pro-life doctor as the ceremony’s keynote speaker.
quote:
Students had previously attempted to pressure the administration to cancel the speech of Dr. Kristin Collier, a pro-life assistant professor of medicine at the university; they submitted a petition claiming that the choice of her as a speaker made them “doubt whether the school will continue to advocate for reproductive rights.”
quote:
However, the school’s dean, Dr. Marschall Runge, refused to disinvite her, citing the “critical importance of diversity of personal thought and ideas, which is foundational to academic freedom and excellence.”
quote:
Collier’s speech was not political at all, nor was it planned to be. She did not talk about abortion or praise the overturning of Roe v. Wade. She simply gave advice to the students before they entered their profession.
Students wanted to cancel her simply because publicly expressed pro-life beliefs. They could not stand to hear from a speaker with whom they disagreed, even when she was not espousing her views to them.

Shame. I bet they would have stayed for Fauxi or Dick Levine.

reproductive rights
Perhaps the most deceptive misnomer of our lifetimes. Infanticide has little to do with reproduction.

This should worry both hospitals and patients, imagine having one of them for pre-natal care when they're this adamant about a fetus not being a life. They're obviously the kind to let politics influence their care

Don't let TV and social media raise your kid and for God's sake, get them out of the public school system.

Bunch of entitled bitches.
Imagine if they had to attend debates back when LSU had free speech alley. It would be a shame if someone had a different thought and belief than someone else

Let me write down his name, that I shall remember his brave stand for legitimate academic rigor.

When did people lose the ability to have a different opinion than someone else?

I thought you folks hated when the left warped and created language to demonize people.
What the frick is an anti-theist?

Brainwashed liberals literally never hear the other side of an argument. Just chopped up sound bites from extremist feed to them in the social stream.

This is just pathetic. We never would’ve dreamed of doing anything like this back in school. And it absolutely speaks to their maturity. Hope there were consequences, but in this day and age probably not.

How many were there total, hopefully enough to make 340 a small minority. And fine for them. May they stage a walkout from the profession.

How is killing a baby classified as “reproductive” rights in a liberal’s warped mind?

This is disturbing and proof that indoctrination takes place even in the medical sciences.
That many people walking out is not a sign of individuality. It's group think.
