Can anyone explain what is offensive or illogical about using the word transwomen or transman to describe these folks? Eliminating the prefix trans just causes confusion and does not distinguish biological female and males from their trans counterparts.

Because I don’t think people of a certain political bent want words to be a useful tool for categorization, I think they want to wield the common vernacular as a tool of censorship.

Iirc, Europe is already seeing some of this. Primarily autistic kids. They have a tendency to fixate on things for long periods of time, but eventually return to baseline.
Some are returning to baseline, after having had hormone therapy and bottom surgery. The realization that they can't have kids, have an orgasm, or be the person they were. . .it gets to be too much, and they kill themselves.
