LaMarcus Alridge had a nasty mid range shot that was so hard to guard

Outside of a few players, the mid-range game is dead..teams don't run plays to get someone open from mid-range.

I don't necessarily prefer the trend of shooting 40+ 3s a game, but I don't it is ever returning

Heck, if Dallas had a big galoot like Eddie Curry we'd be playing Boston

Worth 50% more.

1 is 50% of 2.

I don't think big men have gotten worse. There's just so many small guys on the court now and the offenses are built around them that the big guys get exposed. Guys could have put big lumbering bastards like Ewing in the blender in the 90s too if that's how the game was played

The simple math is 50% more. 3/2 is 1.5 or 50% more. 4/3 is 33% more. “simple” math

Most football coaches still haven’t figured out 4th down. Coaches ignoring statistically/analytical realities never surprises me.

They’re officiating post up bigs out of the game on purpose and it sucks. No league is as good as it should be when everybody’s forced to play the exact same way.

And what’s with all these American football teams throwing passes these days?! Is the single wing discriminated against?

And CP3 mid range jumpers kept the Pels from closing the gap, lol

Luka uses the mid range all the time. So does KD.

3 point shooters are a must-have in today's NBA, but from an aesthetics standpoint, mid-range jumpers are a thing of beauty to watch.

Chris Paul, KD, Ingram, Kawhi, McCollum, Booker, Jokic, etc...they have made some beautiful shots.

Euroball came to America 20 years ago.

Maybe longer.

Bombing away, makes for terrible TV.

Part of the interest to watching this terrible TV sport was working for your shot.

When is the last time you saw a Kevin McHale pump fake, drop step, spin and fake to make a bucket?

It's now 3s and driving dunks.

There’s still a ton of that on any given night. Yes the endgame is to get a 3 or a close shot at the hoop but there’s tons of isolation moments where players can go to work.

In order to equal shooting 33% from 3, you have to shoot 50% from 2.

I remember during steph’s God mode runs he was making something like 70% from the corner. They showed statistically steph shooting corner 3’s produce more points per shot than Lebron dunking it.

I recommend the 2-pt lovers to watch the Nuggets sometime. Jokic gets most of his points via incredibly skilled post moves or mid range jumpers. He doesn’t shoot 3’s frequently.

Couple his shooting with his beautiful passes, he’s a lot of fun to watch.
