Is it not cool to shoot from inside the 3 point line besides driving to the goal?

Seems like the game today is shoot 3 pointer or drive to the basket. Feels like the jump shot is being discriminated against like yellow skittles and yellow starburst lol.

Why not shoot a 3pt if you’re hitting them at the same percentage as a typical FG?

Is this the first game you’ve watched in 15 years?

Do you think taking 2 point jumpers is a better strategy than taking 3 point jumpers?

This. Hell, my kid is a sophomore playing HS basketball and this is the offense they’re teaching.

An 18 footer isn’t much easier than an open 3 In hindsight, I’m surprised it took them that long to figure it out.

Edit: I can’t math

Depends on if your SGs can hit at 42% vs 31% or some such

Coaches still rarely go for it on 4th down.

My dad once told me that he never played a game of organized basketball with a three point line. I thought that was awesome!

Right, so say a target percentage is 50% on 2s and 38% on 3s, the 3 is the better shot. Playing for shots at the basket or 3s is kind of a no Brainer unless you shoot dramatically better from mid range compared to 3 which only a handful of guys are like that.

4 corners D did well for GS v Dallas. I was impressed. Boston may have to do something different

The simple math is 50% more.

3/2 is 1.5 or 50% more.

4/3 is 33% more.

“simple” math
