What if Putin’s strategy is more complex

He knew the US wouldn’t be able to resist a proxy war. With Finland and other countries joining NATO potentially, I think this about drawing the US in and forcing it to overextend itself, the way the Soviet Union had to do before it finally collapsed. I think he is betting that the US will try to take on too much protection for Europe, while continuing to explode its debt.

You’re thinking about it on about a level 7, whereas the average approach to it ia about a level 3. I can withstand the heat for that hyperbole, but I’m just letting you know so you don’t spend too much time on that. .

Anyone who's ever played Risk knows that Putin's strategy is more complex than what the media and public is saying.

It was never about drawing the usa in. It was the other way around. If you listen to our news media, you are basically listening to Tokyo Rose.do it at your own peril.

Early strategy was a “soft” blitz of the major cities that would quickly cause the government of Ukraine to collapse or capitulate with most infrastructure intact.
When that failed, they withdrew their forces and redeployed them in the east and south, fighting a war of attrition, seeking to besiege and crush the Ukrainian army. This has had mixed results at best.

This is a horrible take

Nah, this is the globalists drawing Putin out.

the only strategy is that Putin, Biden, etc are all puppets. all of them. those billions of dollars of aid are what it's all about. bankers, politicians, and military suppliers all getting paid. nothing more, nothing less. stop being naive and blind. shite this has been happening for hundreds of years. it's the same shite over and over. all these wars are created and financed by European bankers, the leaders being the Rothchilds. Russia, Ukraine, and the US are all on the same side: the greedy side.

Not completely out of the question. That's far more likely than the "Russia is running out of gas and Putler miscalculated. Russia weak!". Please, Putin prepped for this for well over 10 years. Whatever is happening it's well planned. As hard as our media has been pushing the North Korean style propaganda I have assumed Russia is doing extremely well
Ukraine could have very well offered uo Azov. Azov had served their purpose and grown too influential. It was a massive problem for Ukr, Russia, and the US. That's a win for all the big players involved and they all make billions.

He has succeeded well so far. He is pretty much getting all of his oil and gas exports paid in his own curreny now. Thats gonna prove very smart when the us dollar crashes.
Also the ruble is the top performing currency in the world vs the dollar in 2022

There is zero win for putin here. He led his nation in to the most vulnerable state since pre WW2.
He has nukes but is extremely vulnerable with the losses he has taken.
Militarily it’s a catastrophe

This is moronic.

Way too much thought out into Kabuki Theatre. They will let you know when ACT V begins.

quote:any strategy that requires you do lose over 3k military vehicles and upwards now of 20k troops is moronic. Russia has reduced it's combat power by a good 10-15% at minimum in this little escapade. This is a case of Putin believing his own propaganda and making a big blunder

It is much more likely that he, team Biden, Zelensky and the others are just working together to milk the US taxpayer and bankrupt the USA.
Seems to be working pretty well.

I think you are giving Putin to much credit. His generals and Defense Ministry stooges gave him an overly optimistic assessment of Russian forces and under estimated the abilities of the Ukrainians. Classic blunders. As others have pointed out, the Russians thought they could mash the Ukrainians quickly and force a surrender. If the intelligence is to be believed, the Russians have lost a third of their invasion force. There’s no way that would be a planned result.

Putin is playing checkers while everyone else is playing chess.
