I see what you did there.

I get the Jets and Giants. Thats the only two team situation (either current or potential) I'd ever be okay with.
Jets/Giants....Rams/Chargers
Both of those cities have a "big Brother" and "little Brother" franchise relationship that IMO does not work.
You have one franchise with a bigger slice of the pie achieving success while the other one only enjoys the occasional lightning in a bottle season.

I think it is a matter of time that San Antonio gets one. Austin.... UT would have a massive fit if there's a competitor to the local football market. Not very many cities can support Major CFB and NFL
Yea, I figure only one would go to the Central Texas region. Only looped in both of those cities since they are so close (relatively).

I'd laugh when the Dallas Jaguars win a Super Bowl before the Cowboys do this century.

Nobody is going to sign up to be the little brother.

It's been a while since they had a first one.

LA has two teams, but only one has a fan base.
Posted on 5/10/22 at 2:06 pm to Chad504boy
How in the hell would they get fans for the 2nd team?
Posted on 5/10/22 at 2:09 pm to Chad504boy
Move the Cowboys to El Paso

I feel like maybe the only way to do it would be to introduce two brand new teams into a market. Let the fans decide who they want to root for, cause you ain’t doing both. How many Dallas fans are going to pull for and support a new daaa team?
Posted on 5/10/22 at 2:15 pm to DirtyDawg
would be funny if they went with Redskins as the 2nd team...

We are a bit accustomed to NY and LA having two even though i'd argue they are mostly undeserved
Bro, New York has 23.5m people in its combined statistical area, and L.A. has 18.6m. By comparison, New Orleans has 1.5m. I think NY deserves their second team.

by this logic, why not give them 4 teams each?

This debate is stupid. This thread is stupid

However, it’s one thing to share a market. It’s quite another to share a stadium.
Jones owns the facility in which the Cowboys play. He could take on a tenant. He could host another 10 games there each year, doubling the annual inventory to 20. He’d make a lot more money,
The City of Arlington owns AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys pay $2 million a year to the city in rent. Jones wouldn't see a dime from another tenant.
