Why do the Saints always play at the Eagles?

Third year in a row we are going to play at the Eagles and it will be the third year in a row we have no idea how to stop Jalen Hurts of all people. So frustrating

third time can often be the charm.

The Eagles seem built to beat us.

We're both 2nd place in division standings

Asked on reddit, they said something about standings too.

This used to happen a bunch with the 49ers I feel like in the mid-to-late years of Brees.

The sad thing is, we have a good defense and Hurts is extremely beatable. If we can’t figure it out in year 3, we are borderline retarded.

Without getting too technical the division winners in each conference will play each other the following year , teams that finished 2nd will play each other and so forth... I'm sure Tampa will play Dallas for that reason

How does SF feel?
They always come to NOLA to play it seems.

in 06 we played them twice at the Dome and then I want to say we played them at home the next year in 2007?
played them twice in 2018 at The Dome.
blew them out in regular season game but much closer in the divisional round of the playoffs. That was the one where Lattimore's awesome interception kick started things for us IMO.

If the two teams finish in the same place in their division’s standings this year, the game would be at New Orleans next year. And if the current schedule rotation stays the same, the Eagles will come to New Orleans in 2024, too, when the South plays the entire NFC East again.
In the current scheduling rotation, three years in a row at one site is the max. And each team is supposed to host each team in its conference at least once every 6 years and each team in the other conference once every 8 years. The international games can potentially mess that up when games such as Vikings-Saints or Patriots-Bucs and Saints-Dolphins in 2017 get moved to London.
The current format is much better than the old days when the divisions didn’t have the same amount of teams. The Saints once played at Dallas four times (1978, ‘82, ‘83 and ‘84) in between Cowboys visits to New Orleans in ‘76 and ‘88. The Bucs once came to New Orleans five years in a row (‘84-88) when they were in the NFC Central and the Saints were in the NFC West.
The worst example of the old format was Denver went from 1976-97 without playing in Miami even though both were in the AFC. Elway and Marino only met in the regular season twice (‘85 and ‘98) and just once in the playoffs (‘98).

I was in the Dome when Deuce carried both teams into the endzone
Maybe one of the young assholes on this board could post the video
I won’t mention any names (lil guy) goat and other dickheads
They probably don’t know what I’m talking about

Formula is real simple, man up on their receivers and send extra blitzes from all directions every play. We just sat back in more of a zone and he killed us with no rush. They were playing scared thinking he would run all over.

Well, back in the olden days, we shared a division with them.

Do you not understand how the scheduling works? Outside of your division you play an AFC Division and an NFC Division. This year the Saints play the NFC West and the AFC North. The other three games are 2 NFC teams, 1 from the North and 1 from the East and an AFC game from the West. You play the teams in those divisions that finished the same position as you. So Eagles and Saints both finished 2nd and that is why we play them this year. We played them last season cause we played the East, and the season before because we both finished first in division. You know the teams you will play the next season once the regular season ends.

The Broncos went from 1975 to 1998 between visits to Miami. Wow.

Yeah, I worded that poorly. Broncos played at Miami on ‘75 and then not again until ‘98.

There was a stretch where it felt like we had Chicago on the road, deep into the Winter, every season for years.
