Moving into a new house and need to buy new french door fridge. Any recommendations on a solid brand? Budget up to $3000.

Avoid LG LIKE THE PLAUGE!!

Honestly all new appliances suck and I wouldn't expect any to last ten years. Not even a sub zero. Good luck.

(I do warranty work for Electrolux and they are a nightmare too)

Just get the one your wife likes the best.
I honestly cannot recommend any 2022-23 brands.

Do you even know who made your kenmore?

Literally 5 brands make fridges for Kenmore.

the house I’m selling has an LG with the ice/crushed ice/water dispenser and I haven’t had any issues. Maybe I’m dumping it just in time.

I have an LG and I like it. It keeps stuff cold for me and even freezes some stuff.

I also don't use my ice maker. In fact all ice makers suck. There is something refreshing to me about cracking an ice tray.

Agreed. Fridges, washers, dryers, dishwashers. They all suck now. I think your best bet is to find one on Craigslist that's 25 years old and repair it yourself

Avoid Samsung if you frequently use the ice maker. Mine freezes up and I have to pull out the tray and defrost it every 2 or 3 weeks using a hair dryer. Apparently there is a known defect with Samsung ice makers. Bought mine in 2015 so they might have fixed it since then.

On a refrigerator? Just go to the half off section at Lowe’s or Home Depot. No wonder so many people in this country are in so much debt.

My son bought a Kenmore Elite from Sears that's made by LG. Has gone thru 3 compressors under warranty trying to get it fixed. Major headache with the refrigerator/Sears /and A&E home appliance.

Avoid like the plague

Everytime I see the appliance threads I go buy a lottery ticket because statistically I should have had an issue at some point in my 49 years of being alive. No one in my family has had to replace a fridge. My parents still have a wonderful yellowish one from when I was 4-5. The other one they have is prolly 10 years old. My granny has one that has got to be approaching 60 years old and has been outside in the carport for prolly 20 years I've had my deep freezer for 15 years. I'm going to have quite the collection of machines that refrigerate or freeze stuff.

I gave up on our LG ice maker 2 years in. I just buy a bag occasionally at one of those machines and dump it in the bin
