The irony in this post
Florida is going up a slippery slope. ANY state would gladly take Disney off their hands real fast. Central Florida economy would crumble.

You mean like to high priced California where its exponentially more expensive to operate.
Disney relocating some employees or business units isn't going to change the calculus here and they can always re-balance the tax issue in the future. Disney was aggressively trying to wield its clout over a social/educational policy that was passed with overwhelming support by the Florida electorate. They just got reality checked.

As a small business owner (but in Alabama) I dislike huge corporations getting special tax deals or free land in exchange for coming here.
But the flip side is. 1000s of small businesses just like you only exist because Disney’s business it brings to their area allows them to

Have Senators Bernie and Pocahontas weighed in on this yet?

I guess this would fix the issues with Flash Mountain about six months out of the year.

Ah yes, because any state has the land to give over to Disney in a large population center with great weather year-round.

I agree it feels like there is nothing they can do, but I also feel like that’s what every one says before something actually happens
They can't move the park.
They can however stop future investments and expansions, move non-essential job or park operation jobs elsewhere...and use their political power and money against state representatives that voted for this.
Which is likely what will happen. They will throw considerable effort behind the scenes to the opponents of any candidate that was for this.

Can’t imagine the residents of the counties that will have to assume the district’s assets and liabilities will be thrilled when their taxes are increased to help cover the counties’ additional expenses, including a reported $1 billion of debt.

My God what a dumb post. Keep these thoughts to yourself.

Perhaps. But Disney World still NEEDS Florida...and they know it. Moving operations to a more "liberal" state would be an arduous and expensive task. And, presumably, those states would not give them the financial incentives/breaks which they would be losing in Florida (unless the liberal leaders where just outright hypocrites...which is not far fetched). Plus, there aren't a ton of states that have a climate conducive to year round peak operations. You're basically looking at the Gulf South (all generally as "conservative" as Florida) and southern California...who already has Disney Land.
Colorado's Governor already met his daily quota of vapid virtue signaling today by saying they would welcome Disney. That's great. But I doubt the park would be as successful if it were covered in snow 4-6 months of the year.
Disney World is too entrenched in Florida to ACTUALLY fight back outside of vapid threats. Desantis knows this.

something like 70% of florida parents agree with the law, so i don't think it's going to be a winning point. florida is solidly red fora while.

Maybe Disney can utilize the railways to help move all of their infrastructure to a new state since you seem to believe we’re living in 1970.

won't disney start having to pay real taxes as well? i think they save something like 10mm+ a year with the current setup.

It wasn't that long ago that I watched a video on how Disney got it's special governance from the state when it was gobbling up the land to build.
Very interesting. Surprised it has lasted that long with all the missed tax revenue from the state once they knew Disney was staying.

Liberals absolutely go to Disney. I know a family of Democrats that goes every few months. Yes, Disney freaks.

“Woke” Disney about to get the awakening they rightfully deserve!!! About time them and all their progressive cucks get checked.

I bet the Disney shareholders love the fact that their CEO virtue signaled their company
Disney has always been hugely liberal, but if you frick with their money, they will crush you. Bob Paycheck, the CEO, has not given in yet.
