Wifes Sequoia got jacked lastnight. They pulled the fuel line out so when she started the car, the engine bay caught on fire. I had to put it out with a fire extinguisher. I hate a fricking thief. There was a Tundra parked right next to it, never touched it. Watch out baws

We should be able to legally hunt and kill catalytic converter thieves

My converters were stolen off of my Tundra in November. I have it on video. It took all of 4 minutes to pull next to it, cut them both off, and pull away.

I'm hoping the next batch of heroin from the plug/dealer is just loaded with fentanyl. Problem would take care of itself.

Can you do something to the bolts so they can't be easily unscrewed? Maybe put a spot of weld on them?

It would seem like these guys would be pretty good Cat Converter techs if they ever get their shite together. Building that resume.

Just be careful with that if doing it while in progress. Off duty Harris County Sherriff Deputy saw some thieves trying to steal his catalytic convertors off his personal Tundra in Humble, TX a few weeks back and engaged. He was shot and killed in the parking lot in broad arse daylight.

Would not have helped, Lafayette sheriffs office said Opelousas dealership had 200 cars hit last week in one night.

They make a underbody mount that covers the catalytic converter area with a plate and bolts. $500 well spent to prevent this BS again. I’m concerned about all the shite that melted behind the far wall around the engine. I don’t think the engine got hurt but I’m sure some Wires burnt

If you have to spend 500 to protect your stuff you need to look at things in life and perhaps make changes.

My Tundra was hit in Houston in January. I’ve since installed skid plates as a deterrent. Mine came from Talon Garage and cost about $700. Basically two half inch sheets of aluminum blocking all 4 cats.

On one of the LSU parent pages, there has been a lot of chatter lately about them taking CCs off of lifted trucks. Several on campus. Bigger converters that are easier to access I guess

Should he able to make a bait truck, fill it with some boom boom, and wait for the thieves to come.

Somewhere away from everything else so no one else gets hurt…then, when the time is right…

they use a cordless sawzall (reciprocating saw) to cut the exhaust pipe like butter and they fall off, they dont unbolt anything
