2. They can not sell, but they are hedging their bets that he doesn’t follow through with the not so subtle hint to “reconsider my position as a shareholder

He is also creating a very public spectacle of their moderation practices. If they don't sell, with his recent hints at turning HQ into a homeless shelter because nobody goes to work anyways among other things, he is going to do huge damage to their stock prices with his words alone. Then he dumps their stock.

It's a hostile takeover. Trump gonna be reinstated.

"I am not playing the back-and-forth game. I have moved straight to the end. It's a high price and your shareholders will love it," Musk told Twitter, per the filing.

"If the deal doesn’t work, given that I don’t have confidence in management nor do I believe I can drive the necessary change in the public market, I would need to reconsider my position as a shareholder."

Translation: I'm going to make the members of the board incredibly rich or I'm going to tank the stock. That's how you play hardball.

If this works and he doesn't dump the health and safety counsel or whatever those fat lesbians are calling themselves, it's all a waste of time.

I would say it is.

By definition it is not a hostile takeover, which is a takeover AGAINST the wishes of the target company Board.

This might turn into a hostile takeover if the Board refuses the deal and Musk goes straight to the shareholders, which he probably will. But as of now, it is not.

The thing that was not emphasized is Musk's threat to abandon his position if his offer is refused. If he sells his shares Twitter stock will plummet. So Musk is offering a carrot and a stick for a company that has notoriously bad management. Twitter shareholders should be over the moon about this.

I predict Musk gets the deal and Twitter continues to piss off conservatives. I also predict Musk makes another $50 billion off of this.

We don't have Musk. Musk is a hedonist and a capitalist. Conservatives are his biggest opposition to electric cars. Go watch his Bee interview. He spent twenty minutes pandering and forty pushing environmentalism and electric cars.

Twitter became a platform to control information

to control or censor conservative views

People who think the election was stolen

and people against the vax...

it's hostile because Twitter is an evil empire of progressive trash

Let's be honest though, Trump would rather be on Twitter anyway.

That's funny, I just wrote about him last week in a leading strategic change class for my masters. I finish the program at the end of this month. I used Musk as an example of a transformative leader. Hopefully he transforms the frick out of Twitter.

I don’t think conservative are against electric cars per se. If you hate them in general you’re just an idiot. What conservatives hate is the government FORCING people into them through ridiculous green policies like 40 mpg requirements.
