We don't have Musk. Musk is a hedonist and a capitalist. Biden and the unions are his biggest opposition to electric cars. Go watch his Bee interview. He spent twenty minutes pandering and forty pushing environmentalism and electric cars.

Class D status limits that somewhat.
If I'm correct, class D limits sale to another institutional investor, which would be aware that he's dumping, and the negative effect it would have on stock value. They'd be betting Twitter stock price would rebound.

Interesting game Musk is playing, for sure.

If I’m Musk and they refuse my offer, I would bump my offer to 45 billion…..watch the stock price over heat to records high and then dump it !!
I bet by doing this it would drop the value even more than it would if he were to just dump it now : )

It would drag the entire financial market down with it. Especially tech stocks.

Id prefer to see him spread it around to promote fear as opposed to dumping a bunch into Twitter. A little for Disney/ABC/ESPN, a little for Facebook, a little for Alphabet...maybe he could start doing color commentary on Monday Night Football and such.

So if Musk buys Twitter does he publish the internal documents regarding how they purposely skewed against Conservative accounts and candidates?

Essentially show the world the platform was purposely biased and that they lied to Congress multiple times about it.

Apologize for the biased treatment and promise to be free speech for all and watch people join in mass and all agree to pay for Twitter+ and see the $$ pour in.

Not really. It is an offer to buy 100% of twitter at $54.20/share OR abandon his position altogether. This is a cash offer, but it would be financed (translation: Musk is not selling shares of TSLA to do the deal). TWTR is currently $51.90. The TWTR board and management would obviously get kicked to the curb, and so will fight tooth and toenail against Musk. The more likely outcome here is Musk selling off.

In addition, the board would be sued for breach of fiduciary duties and self dealing. By rejecting an offer that is higher than the current share price, the board would be screwing their shareholders out of profit to save their own skin. The board and the company will be tied up in litigation. Musk (or any shareholder) could file a Derivative Action against Twitter. Literally anyone owning just one share could do it. Musk has really put the board between a rock and a hard place with this offer.

Well, in a perfect world, yeah.

In the short term I'm looking forward to the mass exodus of globalists from Twitter and the return of Trump.

For sure.
They bailed G(overnment)M(otors) out and that's nothing more than a small under the table kickback. Nothing like Twitter and its mind control over the weak.

Well I'll go buy some just so I can sue their butts if they say no.

Consider this; If he did buy it for $40B, and somehow Twitter stock dropped to zero,

There would be no more stock. He would take it private so the changes that need to be made could be made.

As usual Jjdoc looks for threads, like this, and then starts his own thread on the same subject. The guy is such a fricking attention whore.

Maybe there's more to this than we know. Could be twitter will be renamed as Truth Social after the takeover.

Just a thought...
