Oh, don't get me wrong, those people are stupid who vote for a Democrat because of mean tweets, "politically incorrect" language, etc. But those are votes that still need to be had in order to win. And frankly, that's Trump's fault. He was complacent and didn't work on his message discipline, let alone articulating his message, and he didn't win back the suburban voters. He got fat and happy, literally and figuratively. In 2016 there were over 5 million people who voted for at least 1 down-ballot R but didn't vote for him. In 2020 that number was also over 5 million.

Adapt or die.

While it's true that the media will make any Republican out to be Hitler, there are some differences.

1. DeSantis doesn't constantly step on his own dick and fall for media trap after media trap like Trump did.

2. His message discipline is much better and he knows how to articulate his message as opposed to deflecting or repeating himself. Case in point when Trump was asked why he didn't fire Fauci. He said he didn't because he was worried about the precious feelings of liberals and then went off on a rant about Fauci's shite first pitch for over a minute, which no one gives a shite about.

You win back just 2/3 of those 5 million voters who historically vote Republican but don't like Trump and the Democrats are screwed. They know this, which is why the Lincoln Project has been begging Trump to run again so he can take out potential GOP candidates who don't alienate those voters.

Friends with Putin? No. Admires Putin? Yes. He's said so several times. He admires dictators and authoritarians in general, as do most of his followers. His dream is to be king and there is a bottom segment of American society - most people in this cesspool of a forum - that would love to kiss his ring and lick his boots.

You sound like a member of the Lincoln Project. Frankly, I hope you're of age. Rick Wilson might frick you in the arse now that John Weaver left.

Also, if you're gonna talk about a cesspool that kisses the ring and licks the boots of a politician, try looking at what's going on right now. We have an unprecedented volume of sycophants for this inept administration.

MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, NYT, WaPo, HuffPo, NPR, Boston Globe, Guardian, Atlantic, Lincoln Project, Meidas Touch, Media Matters, virtually every late-night host and Hollywood celebrity, and about 2 dozen other outlets I could mention.

A lot of dirtbags come to Floria because it is way better than the liberal shithole they left behind, and then try their best to replicate the liberal shithole they left behind.

That has little to do with the FL governor and everything to do with the temperature and the beaches

I hope so and pray for that result but I am concerned because there are so many ignorant Democrats if if you ran Barack Obama as a Republican they still wouldn’t vote for him

That is my concern. As a governor he has been almost perfect in everything he does and is the only reasonable one and yet these idiots despise him and it will never change

A yankee was whining about DeSantis, and you thought it deserved a thread?
Have you ever left your house?

Yeah, I am in Florida every month. It sickens me at the sheer percentage of obvious yankees that have fled their shiatholes... they will not change. They are a cancer.

Love reading "moving to Orlando" forums, where all these folks are fleeing their shiatholes for various reasons, then immediately complain about traffic, food, heat, bugs, lizards...and of course, DeSantis. All things any fricking idiot would have researched. You liked it good enough to move, maybe it's you that's the problem? Maybe there was no good Mexican food in Boston, buddy?
