Imagine still mocking the idea that the Bidens are complicit with Ukraine.

I have not been paying attention for the last few pages. Is anyone doubting that Biden asked Poroshenko (the Ukrainian president that Zelensky defeated bigly) to fire the prosecutor looking into Burisma, or are you just trolling from your mother’s basement?

Not only that, Biden threatened to withhold aid if they didn't do so. Quid Pro Quo. Then the stupid mushbrain went public bragging about it. Didn't they impeach Trump for threatening to withhold aid to Ukraine? But of course Biden gets off with no repercussions.

for all the good this will do...

USA Today: Biden leveraged Ukrainian aid to oust corrupt prosecutor, not help his son

- prosecutor was not investigating Burisma at the time Biden called for his removal

- the Burisma investigation started before Hunter Biden joined the board and focused on time period before he was a board member

Y’all got that Burisma story mixed up. The actual news reports show that the Ukranian prosecutor was not actually rooting out the corruption as he was supposed to, so that’s why Biden was bragging about pressuring him publicly.

IIRC, the special prosecutor for corruption in Ukraine didn’t prosecute anyone for corruption under Poroshenko. It was not just the prosecutor that Biden got fired but several different prosecutors who didn’t do anything. Zelensky even made fun of the prosecutor’s office for that in his show Servant of the People. In the show President Zelensky had to hire his ex wife before they started prosecuting anyone. In real life, the prosecutor didn’t prosecute anyone until Zelensky was in office. So it was obviously a Poroshenko thing.

Lots of corruption under Poroshenko, and much closer ties to Russian interests.

Good summary.

Poroshenko was corrupt. He turned down Trump’s offer of 2 Perry class frigates because a shipyard he owned had the contract to build new warships for the Ukrainian navy. No work was ever done on those ships. Zelensky canceled the contract and ordered 4 corvettes from Turkey which are actually being built. Poroshenko was corrupt as hell but he was less corrupt than his predecessor Yanakovich.

I have kids and no I don’t wxx as n’t them to go to Ukraine. I don’t wsnt any American kids to go. But that isn’t what’s happening. The US and other nations are sending weapons and money to help Ukraine defend themselves. The better they do the less chance Russia will chance a larger war. Doing nothing for a nation we promised to help defend itself is bad policy.

Ukraine is running out of warm bodies to throw in the meat grinder. Theres already been mention over the last year or so of other countries eventually needing to send troops to pick up the slack.

We already have “advisers” over there.

If Ukraine gets membership to NATO, something our idiotic leadership is discussing, then yes, we’ll have troops there on the ground. And we’ll be dumping even more $billions there, along with the salaries and pensions of Ukrainian government workers that we’re currently paying.

Not sure how old your kids are, hopefully they won’t have their lives adversely affected in another waste of lives and resources.

The world desperately needs some grownups to negotiate an end to this.

If we let Ukraine in NATO now then you are right, it’s like declaring war. No way should our government agree to that right now.

Do you guys remember - or even know - that a NATO bylaw states that no states currently involved in border disputes can become members?

That's one of the reasons Putin started border disputes with Ukraine back when they set a goal of NATO membership in the first place.

Unfortunate truth, and an unpopular opinion here.

Russia, is grinding the frick out of Ukraine now.

The are playing the long game and DGAF what the world thinks. They also know their people will back them forever.
I think they make a break out in the next 6-8 weeks. It is time for Ukraine to come to the table.

They have only two choices, concede what they have lost, or lose more.

It will be amazing when Trump negotiates a peace with Putin 6 years after Zelenskyy was involved in the Deep State coup that was used to oust Trump.

What you say is true. Russia realizes this is a war of attrition; which they know favors them in the long term from both a population and industrial standpoint. They’re gearing up their weapons industry to keep up with the demands of an attritional war. The West has had two years to do this but has done nothing other than to stupidly deplete their own reserves of ammunition and weapons systems. Now, Ukraine is begging for artillery shells on a level the West has no hope to meet even if they wanted to.

The West, especially the US, has played Ukraine. They’ve doled out just enough aid to keep them in the fight, while knowing the level of help they are offering falls woefully short of making an appreciable difference in doing anything more than ensuring the war remains stalemated as long as possible. But now the scales are beginning to tip as Russia’s advantages in arms, ammo, and men begin to tell. Every day Russia slowly gnaws off more and more Ukrainian territory while bleeding the Ukrainian Army white.

Anyone with even a passing knowledge of military matters can see where this war is going. Each passing day means worse terms that Ukraine can expect. The best help the West, especially the US, can offer Ukraine at this point is serious diplomatic efforts at securing the best cease fire they can get. The longer they wait, the worse Ukraine’s position will be.

For those who find what I’ve said disagreeable, save your worthless down vote and instead speak your mind on what I’ve said you think is wrong.

Ukrainian Military Portal...

Ukrainian Drones Autonomously Target and Destroy Russian SAM Fleet

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) effectively deployed drones equipped with target auto-acquisition capabilities against the invaders’ air defense systems.

SSU released a video showcasing these drones autonomously locking onto targets and successfully striking them.

Operators were able to target Russian BUK and TOR systems using these drones.

Before the strikes, reconnaissance and target adjustment were likely conducted by Shark drones.

“SSU operators destroyed a batch of Russian air defense systems at the front in a week. They added to their account: 2 BUK air defense systems of various modifications and one BUK air defense system target detection station, 2 TOR-M2 air defense systems, Strela-10 air defense systems, Tunguska air defense systems,” the SSU stated.

Such drones only need to reach the target at a relatively high altitude and mark it, and then the drone itself can strike the target.

Presumably, the Ukrainian drone with such technology has full protection from EW systems, because it goes to the target autonomously.

Among the advantages of such drones with machine vision and target capture, the best efficiency of striking moving targets is also noted.

Roman Abramovich was Russias intermediary in the negotiations process, but he apparently stopped talking to Zelensky after the Crocus attack.
