Yep. That's why the Ukrainian parliament recently passed the new mobilization law that went into effect two weeks ago. It will take a while to get new troops trained, and Ukraine will struggle in the meantime.
We have discussed this extensively.

It makes me want to vomit when I think about how evil these pro war chicken hawks are. But hey, at least their Halliburton shares are at 5 year highs rn.

I know that you wouldn't like it, Winston, but I think that the odds are increasing that Trump decides to take advantage of Biden's weakness and argue for stronger support for Ukraine. He could (rightly) argue that, with all the investment we've made in Ukraine, it's stupid not to let them win. The fact that Mike Johnson has this position makes it more likely, as does Nikki Haley's recent endorsement of Trump.
Meanwhile, if Putin starts putting out more hints of a ceasefire, you'll start to see the Bernie types start pushing for "peace."
I can see some people switching positions.

He already set himself to do that early on claiming that if Russia didn't come to the table in good faith, he would give Ukraine MODERN weapons and more than they could use.

Start melting because he supported the aid bill and why it passed.

It's a very reasonable offer.
Let's discuss your point that Ukraine negotiating power is getting worse every day. Expand on that

Key Takeaways:
Ukrainian and Russian sources stated that Ukrainian forces are increasingly contesting the tactical initiative in northern Kharkiv Oblast and characterized Russian operations in the area as defensive, although Russian forces are likely attempting to bring the Northern Grouping of Forces up closer to its reported planned end strength before possibly intensifying offensive operations in the area.
The likely premature start of Russian offensive operations appears to have undermined Russian success in northern Kharkiv Oblast.
Russian forces continue to leverage their sanctuary in Russian airspace to strike Kharkiv City to devastating effect, likely as part of efforts to depopulate the city and demoralize Ukrainians.
Russian electronic warfare (EW) capabilities reportedly impacted the effectiveness of select Western weapon systems in Ukraine in 2023 as Ukraine and Russia continue to compete in a technical offense-defense race.
Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov categorically rejected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's legitimacy and outlined Russia's maximalist conditions for peace negotiations during an interview with Newsweek on May 25.
Russia is likely helping North Korea develop its defense industrial base (DIB) in exchange for North Korean munitions supplies, and US officials reportedly assess that Russia may also be supplying North Korea with military equipment, weapons, or technology.
Russian forces recently made confirmed advances near Donetsk City.
The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) has cancelled its annual "Army Games" international competition for the second year in a row, prompting celebration among critical Russian ultranationalist milbloggers.

Ukraine cannot trust Trump. Neither can NATO or Western Europe.
Only Putin can, it seems.

My sense is that Trump will offer a deal to Putin and if he doesn't accept it Ukraine will get a whole lot of American armor, F16s and everything else they need including contractors of all kinds.

Hijacking or jamming GPS signals are not so difficult to do. That is the exposed weakness of some systems.
Then again, we have had cruise missiles that use terrain tracking and recognition to hit precise targets for a long time. The chips guiding missiles and some shells can probably do both given an update.
Ukraine has exposed some of America's weapons vulnerabilities against a relatively advanced military. There's nothing like a real war to learn what actually works and what doesn't work so well.

INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 26 May 2024
Russian forces are continuing to attack the town of Vovchansk as part of their offensive into northern Kharkiv, which began on 10 May 2024. The town remains contested, with defending Ukrainian forces repelling the majority of Russian assaults. With the village of Buhruvatka, west-south-west of Vovchansk, likely under their control, Russian forces are attempting to achieve physical control of the nearby crossing over the Siverskiy Donets river, thereby threatening the flank and rear of defending Ukrainian forces in Vovchansk itself.
On the Luk'yantsi axis, Russian forces continue to launch attacks in the direction of the village of Lyptsi but had made no significant progress according to the Ukrainian General Staff as of the evening of 22 May 2024.
On 17 May 2024, President Putin stated that Russian forces were creating a buffer or safety zone in Kharkiv, this has currently not succeeded. The northern Kharkiv front has likely stabilised with Russian territorial control fragmented and not joined up. Russia's gains in this axis will be limited in the coming week, as Russia's initial momentum has been contained by Ukrainian resistance.

I know the thought of this sends the Ukraine Bots from 6 to midnight, but do you honestly think someone who has shown to be a competent negotiator would say anything but this before negotiations open? Why put yourself in a position of weakness by saying you’re going to stop support?
He may very well have this actual intention, but it’s pretty standard politics to publicly ask for more than you actually want and say you’re willing to go further than you actually are.

So the prevailing Slava Ukraine narrative now is that Putin wants peace talks because he has like 9-12 months before Russia completely collapses.
But then when talking out of the other side of their mouths they say he has no intentions of actually pursuing peace, and he is just trying to derail the upcoming peace summit.
I wish I lived in “whatever is most convenient for me personally is the truth” land. The real world is much harder to parse.
