There are so many gullible people who become such easy prey for the (formerly Prigozhin) troll farms in St. Petersburg.

Here's the actual evidence: LINK

Where is the actual evidence? That link you provided certainly isn't it.

Any patriotic American shares this view but yeah, it's the Russian troll farms. I've had several friends who support Ukraine echo this sentiment this week.

Can you provide a source for this? Must be inside info because they've actually lost ground in this area lately.

Start with the fact that it's insanely stupid. There is always federal money for disaster relief that in no way competes with assistance to Ukraine.

Oh, and no one cares what your Russian friends think.

You're the last person on this board that should be talking about "gullible" people.

Serious question. What was the reaction of the poliboard types when that happened ? Denial? Crying about war crimes? Appproval? And of course by “that” I mean the US military annihilating hundreds of Wagner goons.

ISW Update

quote:

Key Takeaways:

The Washington Post reported on August 17 that the US intelligence community has assessed that Ukraine’s counteroffensive will fail to reach Melitopol in western Zaporizhia Oblast and will not achieve its principal objective of severing the Russian land bridge to Crimea.

It is premature to make assessments about the overall success of ongoing Ukrainian counteroffensive operations occurring along several lines of advance toward several different apparent objectives.

Ukrainian forces continued offensive operations on at least three sectors of the front on August 18 and have reportedly advanced further near Robotyne in western Zaporizhia Oblast.

The Kremlin has intensified its effort to increase its long-term control over the Russian information space, threatening the credibility of Russian sources that inform the wider Western coverage of battlefield realities in Ukraine.

Ukrainian Operational Command South Spokesperson Captain First Rank Nataliya Humenyuk challenged Russian claims that Russian authorities have adequately repaired the Chonhar bridge after a Ukrainian strike on August 6.

Russian forces conducted offensive operations along the Kupyansk-Svatove-Kreminna line, near Bakhmut, along the Aviivdka-Donetsk City line, and in the eastern Donetsk-western Zaporizhia border area on August 18 and advanced in some areas.

Well, they were attacking US troops so it’s a tad different. But as I recall the PB was adamantly the intervention in Syria.

Good read. Hunting Russian trolls is getting to be a popular sport.

INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
UPDATE ON UKRAINE 19 August 2023

Over the last week, most of the front line has remained static. However, in the south, Ukrainian forces have continued their advance along the course of the Mokri Yaly river, securing the village of Urozhaine in the face of stiff Russian resistance.

In the north, Russian forces have continued probing attacks in the Kupiansk area but achieved no significant advances.

Across the front, both sides confront a similar challenge: attempting to defeat well-entrenched forces while having limited uncommitted forces to open new assaults.

Ukrainian drones hit the Russian "Soltsy-2" Air Base in Novgorod Oblast. The air base is home to the Tupolev Tu-22M3, a strategic bomber used also for missile attacks against Ukraine.

The Russian MoD already confirms the damage of "one plane", likely one of the bombers.

She did a lot of work but the only people who don’t believe Russian bots are used for this are frequent consumers of said propaganda.

I am really liking the new, based Scholz:

quote:

Addressing those who call for "an end to the war as soon as possible," Scholz stressed that telling Ukrainians they should just let Russia take over their country has nothing to do with peace.

Everyone who walks around the square posing as a "dove of peace" is in reality "a fallen angel from hell" who speaks the language of "Putin, the warmonger," the German chancellor said.

LINK

I think that "fallen angels from hell" is also what I will start calling the pro-Putin warmongers on this site.

While I have no doubt Russia has seized upon the propaganda aspects of how little Biden is doing for Hawaii compared to Ukraine, to call those Americans “gullible” who question why Hawaii is seemingly being ignored while Ukraine gets billions, is absurd. It’s a valid point even if you support sending aid to Ukraine.

No, it's stupid.

Doing one of them has absolutely nothing to do with the other one.

If you stink because you didn't take a shower in the morning, the problem isn't that you brushed your teeth.

"You should have showered instead of brushing your teeth!" is this level of stupidity. It's the logic of a 4-year-old.
