Stop with the “you people”. I remain today as I have since the start of this war, namely strictly neutral. I am not arguing for or against either side of the matter. What I am doing is pointing out the optics of Biden’s seemingly inactivity when it comes to Hawaii compared to Ukraine. From the outside looking in, and not being clouded by emotion, I can see how many people would have a problem with it. It is a valid political point. The fact you don’t like it, doesn’t invalidate it.

Except for the fact that Bush actually flew to Louisiana and was being bashed for not landing, and Biden couldn't even be bothered to comment about Maui while on vacation, I can certainly see how a dishonest person could come to this conclusion.
ETA: A more similar comparison would have been how Ted Cruz was treated for being on vacation during the Texas blizzards, but of course he could do nothing to help that situation while Biden actually can do something to help Maui.

The Biden administrations failures on Hawaii anew another example of its failures as a whole.
The administration is also slow walking what Ukraine needs to have a chance. Most of the donations are way late from when needed.
As a whole this administration is a failure on a lot of fronts.

You’re allowing your emotions to cloud your judgement on this matter and it’s blinding you to what millions of other Americans can see, specifically how Biden is very interested in sending tens of billions to Ukraine while basically doing nothing to help Hawaii. None the less, Biden’s actions, or lack thereof, on Hawaii only serves to give his critics more fodder.
Let’s face it, the optics are terrible from a political standpoint. It appears he is willing to send tens of billions of dollars to a country with seemingly little to no strategic interest to the US while one of the actual states in the US is suffering a terrible natural disaster where perhaps over a thousand American citizens are missing and probably dead and Biden can’t even be bothered to so much as comment on the situation.

Yes, thinking Americans are anathema to people who tow the party line. When everyone looks back on this conflict as a massive mistake, the same as we do with Korea or Vietnam, or the "war on terror," I'll be able to say I was always viewing this conflict honestly while you'll be forced to admit you want war over American interests.

I’ve been saying this all along about aid to Ukraine when opponents of aiding Ukraine suggest that instead of aiding Ukraine we could build the border wall, invest in infrastructure, or whatever. The fact is Biden wouldn’t spend the money that way.
Biden is seen as asleep at the wheel when it comes to Hawaii only because he is. It has nothing to do with Ukraine. It had everything to do with how inept the Biden administration is.
