No one in this thread, that's for damn sure.

People here are gobbling up yahoo news for Christ's sake.

While Putin doubles down in Ukraine, his gas gambit is failing

I clicked that thinking there’s no way this will be so dumb as to suggest they can just replace Russian gas with LNG. But then I clicked it, and that’s what it said.

It has been replaced with LNG AND pipelines from Norway. There are also pipelines from Africa to Spain and Italy. There is a soon to be pipeline from Israel to Greece.

Putin failed to achieve his goal, pure and simple

EDIT - The USA isn't even exporting at full capacity. The natural gas price has dropped by 20% since Nordstream event. 30% the last month.

The important even more ambiguous question I keep coming to when the discussion of arsenals comes up, is delivery devices outside of bombers. If we assume bombers will be easier to stop in this day and age, how many functional long distance delivery devices does each country have. It's hard to know the answer to any of this I would presume.

Considering maintenance of its rolling stock armaments and ammo, one has to question the maintenance of its nuclear arsenal and how many will just explode at launch.

How many times has Yahoo news been linked in this thread?

We're 39K posts in and I bet the number is less than 10, I remember maybe 1?

My non common core math background tells me that 10/39,000 = .0003 or .03% of the posts in this thread MIGHT have been sourced from Yahoo news. In other words, 99.97% of the posts haven't mentioned Yahoo news.

Which news sources are acceptable to you, for us to post from? Would you prefer Russian news sources...we post a lot of those.

Russian jet vs MANPAD. Aviation guys, is it an SU25? People in the comments were suggesting something in the Flanker family but I see a Frogfoot.

Bombers work fine with proper planning and SEAD (suppression of enemy air defense) missions and jamming.

The days of low-level day time B-52 missions in combat day 1 are done, but bludgeoning enemy air defenses early for some high altitude B-2 runs and a bit of E-18 growler support are still feasible this day and age.

I'm pretty sure that video is a couple of weeks old. That was the day Russia lost 4 jets and a couple of Helicopters.

Looks like a Flanker to me

I think there has been one in the last couple of weeks but the total I am almost sure could be counted on your fingers and likely on one hand. One thing for people to keep in mind is Yahoo is an aggregator so a source article could come from a highly credible or while the next one is from a questionable source.

One of the main reasons they are rarely quoted here just like most of the MSM is they are normally 12-48 hours behind the flow of the thread irrespective of the credibility of the specific source. IIRC the most recent article linked was a rehash of things discussed 10 or so pages earlier.

Riiiiiight.

Maybe they'll ALL explode at launch ... every one of the roughly 1600 missiles on each side.

BTW, odds of that are about the same as winning three mega lotteries in a row.

Thanks, typical of the MSM as noted in my previous post. I am horrible with Russian plane identification and I guess I am programmed to think anything that close to the deck is a typical CAS plane.

Hard to tell initially but it’s a su-27 Flanker. The more swept wings and lack of wing tip airbrakes plus when he straightened out the front of the aircraft had that downward tilt of the Flankers.

I linked a Yahoo article today that was an indirect link to a Financial Times article. Financial Times has a paywall but Yahoo can tunnel thru it for free. I find it useful.

Ukraine terrorist shelling of Donetsk City killed 13 Russian civilians on September 19, 2022 alone. LINK Ukraine terror state will lose.
