Wow, that was a hot fire. Wonder what it might have done to the concrete?

the concrete is 100% compromised, but it can be repaired fairly quickly but i doubt they have the knowledge, crews or equipment to do it.

that assuming only damaged on the top side. if bottom or sides are, i doubt they have the scaffolding to do hanging to get that repaired quickly.

*for example the US could have company come in and repair that bridge in a matter of days if they paid enough and using a high early mix could prolly have it fully operational in under 7 days and that is without using military equipment. Russia has no were close to that ability.

And if there are any cracks at all, rain and then freezing temps will make the problem worse fast.

The poliboard thread about the missile attacks is disturbing.

2 million BPD is 20% loss for good. These are wells which only produce a few barrels a day. Some have done so forever. When wells are shut in, they do sand up. Who would spend money on a workover rig with no ROI. That happened in 2020.

Now go play with whatever pays your bills, be it welfare or other.

FTR, I helped set up a new technology with a field service company should it have been fully developed to turn stripper wells into triple production. The inventor was a Russian expat scientist who had been involved in killer satellites using high energy microwaves for the USSR.

You apparently still don't know what a stripper well is.

The Italian Eurofighters deployed to Poland have carried out 16 alert scrambles to intercept 19 Russian combat aircraft in the last few weeks. An “impressive number” according to the commander of the Italian Task Force.

Eight Alpha Scrambles (alert departures) in just one week, the last of those in the morning on Oct. 6, 2022, for a total of 16 in the last two months: these are the “numbers” of the TFA (Task Force Air) “White Eagle”, the Italian Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon detachment supporting NATO’s eAP (enahnced Air Policing) mission in Poland.

Quite interesting that Iran has been supplying Ukraine with ammo for the Russia weaponry. Some likely seized in Yemen by Saudis

I don't know but I would guess Iran has some connections/relationships with Ukraine from when they were a part of Russia ...

Also.. Iran would I am sure not pass up an opportunity to make money any way they can...

Bingo. Well China and India got Putin to bend over with heavily discounted oil prices. Why shouldn't Iran get some of that too? Chinese markings

Right? Pretty soon we'll be letting them borrow some of our nukes too. Amazing.

I'm gonna go ahead and say,
ukraine was like, we are gonna blast these people north of us with himars, they are killing our civilians with air strikes.

Usa was like...uh no, we want to ride the line of almost starting ww3 as long as possible, that's a step too far for us....as of now.

Ukraine was like, so we just sit here and take missiles from Belarus? We ain't doing that shite.

Usa was like, alright here's some better air defense.

Not great, not terrible.

Russia built the bridge and finished it in 2018. Your point makes zero sense.

I almost made a similar post since SGM finished the RR bridge in 2020 but just before I did I realized concrete repair and concrete replacement are two very different disciplines. If I am not mistaken LSU777 is an engineer and concrete repair is actually his game. Doing an in situ repair would probably be much quicker than replacing the affected spans but it certainly may not be backed up in Russia with the techniques, equipment, and technicians capable of doing it. On that, I would defer to someone in the field.

Yes, they have roughly 10% more.* Though a significant number of theirs are tactical class devices where the US has mainly strategic class nukes.

*who knows how accurate those numbers are in reality

No one in this thread, that's for damn sure.

People here are gobbling up yahoo news for Christ's sake.
