This is the sort of thing that always makes me chuckle and gives you a fair bit of insight into how a decent chunk of the political elite over there see the world. Stalin really did kill off the best and the brightest, and they've never recovered.
To give people an idea of how big of a shithole Russia is and how much of an economic basketcase it is, Puerto Rico, even as poor and decrepit as it is in certain areas, is nearly 3 times as rich as Russia is per capita.
They are Mexico with nuclear weapons, no more and no less.

Don’t share this on the poliboard.

One of my Russian friends circa 2012 was telling me how Russia was actively trying to find a loophole in the purchase agreement to take it back. No idea how true that was/is, but do find it interesting

How close are you to giving them Alaska back to avoid a war?
Alaska is one of the most strategic places on the planet to own land. Ukraine isn’t and nor is it ours, warmonger. We own that shite in Alaska, Kinzinger, so frick off when we say we should sacrifice American lives in Ukraine. You people are drunk on war and fricking insane.

I only slightly exaggerate in saying that I am pretty sure that 1/25, 4/25, the aviation battalions, and the Alaskan ANG could take on any Russian expeditionary force they could muster to take Alaska at this point. Actually, that's not an exaggeration - I am pretty certain they could handle them without much problem.

Here come sham referendums in Alaska.
It's too bad for Russia that 97.9% of the people of Kaliningrad already voted to leave Russia and join Czechia. The territory of Kralovec is undergoing a process right now to become fully integrated with Czechia.
In particular, I really admire the Czechs' determination to build the Beer Stream 2 pipeline to ensure that the people of Kralovec have a consistent supply of delicious Czech beer. The hats and yellow shirts that read "Make Kralovec Czech Again" are very inspiring.
You can read more details about the new Czech territory at their website: https://visitkralovec.cz/ or you can follow them on Twitter at @KralovecCzechia.
It's so awesome that the people of Kaliningrad were able to be free of Russia and become annexed by Czechia.

Did you all see that today? Maybe that is why Erdogan and Putin were walking arm and arm at that summit with Erdogan sporting a shite-eating grin. Putin signaled he'd let him be the savior to the west that tries to negotiate peace when Putin was ready.

Alaska is like 400 miles from Seattle. It also contains American citizens and is a fricking state. If you think this is morally and strategically equivalent to our reaction to Ukraine, go frick yourself, you John Bolton genocidal a-hole. Ukrainians and even Europeans can get fricked compared to that.

Who is saying that? Who specifically said we should sacrifice Americans?

How strategic does a location have to be before it’s worth contributing to its defense?
Can the “strategic” portions of a location be intangible or do they have to be related to resources?
Does it have to be “ours”?
Can the strategic value of an area necessitate our involvement even when it isn’t ours?
Would you defend Taiwan?

You predicted that there would be catastrophic food shortages this year, homie. Well, guess what, frickface, it's harvest season, and crop prices are still steady...exactly as I told you would happen about four months ago when anyone with a half brain knew to look at futures prices to get a sense of what was actually going to happen with commodity prices and not listen to some period bleed Ole Miss fan who is scared of the sound of his own farts.

This is a state, you dumb frick. Jesus Christ, y’all are on the verge of lethal alcohol poisoning of being drunk on war to even ask such a question. No, Anchorage Airport might be the single most important strategic airport in the world. Yeah, we’re not giving that up (nor should we) without mass bloodshed. And Russia knows this, and Putin would call you a fricking retard and laugh behind your back should you ever say this to him.

I’m sorry, just for asking these questions:
Saying Alaska is just as justifiable as Ukraine. You people are dumber than the day is long.

If you asked me which to defend first, Alaska over Taiwan no question because I’m not a mouth breathing moron like yourself.

Going out on a limb here, but this is likely how you got the DM to stay out of the thread.
