Income inequality in the U.S. is greatest between the top and bottom of the black community.

That’s part of it. Temple wants LSU to be Southern.

How did that Johnny Jones hire work out. Which Temple was major supportive of. Why not let the hire play out before casting judgement. Also like someone else pointed out Mel Tucker was high on the wishlist but got the brinks truck backed up to his place.

This site is whacking all references to a WaPo article critical of LSU and you hammer WaPo without considering the propriety of the Rant’s censorship?
If the article deserves criticism, publish it ( or, in this case, allow others to do so) and the tell us exactly what is inaccurate about it.
Censorship is never proper.
Seems like some here were pretty bent out of shape about cancel culture at one time.

I’m not sure what you are trying to say here.

I don't need your help. And I'm not blaming anyone. I'm stating that the notion that Mr. Temple is calling out something that is taboo is questionable on anyone that wishes to ignore the obvious. Just call it what it is.

It does not matter that the "entire power structure of BR is run by black ppl". Ff true, in yet they are still confronted by the behavior and actions of those that do and say questionable things.

Did we not just witness a judge and her family showing how they really see black ppl. I could site other examples of this sort of thing, but I'd like to remain on topic.

I’ll try to stay on topic as well, so I’ll ignore your bullshite.

Regarding the above quote, Temple is on the LSU Board of Supervisors. He should not be publicly criticizing Brian Kelly, LSU, or the hiring process.

He’s not some random guy.

Your biases are showing, Chicken.
Seems to me that you should let your readers decide what views are right and wrong. If they are not well founded, they can be destroyed.
This is supposed to be a “ marketplace of ideas”, but it’s your site…

You're right. Why does Collis Temple hate white people so much just for being successful? The subject of that article goes to LSU grad school for free and receives a yearly salary (albeit small), all the while being a convicted former drug dealer. He also fraudulently ran for Senate as a Republican in an attempt to "trick" white voters. Yet it's somehow the hardworking white people of BR's fault he is struggling financially. That's some racism right there.

You mean the guy who has overseen the hires of Mulkey, Johnson, and Kelly?

If LSU is going to hire a black president and still have rogue “community leaders” painting the school as racist, then what’s the fricking point?

What exactly do you want him to do? People are always going to lash out. Do you think the article would not have been written if we had a white president. Honestly, I don't exactly know what you are getting at regarding Tate.

That is exactly it. They have power now so they can’t find legit victims so they are creating them now.

You confuse racism with prejudice and then refuse to acknowledge the behavior of some blacks that perpetuate those stereotypes.
