So Collis Temple put out a media hit job on Brian Kelly?

Not going to link the article, because it’s trash and threads have been deleted that linked it. It’s from the Washington Post, a former newspaper.
But I think lost in all the misinformation, race-baiting and overall lack of journalistic ethics, is the obvious fact that Collis Temple orchestrated the whole thing.
The “hero” of the story is a Temple lackey. Temple is quoted multiple times. There are behind the scenes information that could only come from Temple, etc.
So is this Temple’s pound of flesh for not hiring a black coach?
Is Tate complicit? If LSU is going to hire a black president and still have rogue “community leaders” painting the school as racist, then what’s the fricking point?

what does Collis Temple have to do with football? Like why does he care.
Also, haven’t seen the article, what were some things said?

Literally all of the black coaches considered were given massive raises and extensions. Both Tucker and Franklin got huge raises.

I would need to read whatever article you are referring to. Post it

Hmmmm…
Pretty shitty, if true.

Google it. Washington Post.
No.

I wouldn’t say it was Collins Temple.
He just said what he thought.
The Washington Post decided we needed to be called out because some people are poor and some people are not

Well, the last person that posted it, the thread was deleted. I’m not posting it.

That’s part of it. Temple wants LSU to be Southern.

Explain how an unknown graduate student, and protégée of Temple, became the central figure of the article?
I don’t believe in coincidence.
If we hired Mel Tucker, does this story get written?
Does Temple just “say what he thought.”

This is the problem. You know there is racism in BR. You see it and you know it exist. Then when someone speaks of it they are labeled as a race baiter. You would rather it not be spoken on and we all go about our lives pretending.
Maybe Mr. Temple got a call from the writer. Maybe he was not going to hold back his thoughts. Maybe the President, whom you passively state that he should keep people in check about such things, had nothing to do with the article.
Trying to articulate something exist to those that don't want to acknowledge it is pointless and why many people of color don't even waste time anymore trying to do so, because they realize others will simply flag them as race baiters in lieu of someone sharing a real issue.

People who see race and color are the real racist. I'm sticking with MLK's philosophy.
Also, if someone labels another who likes Trump as racist or an Uncle Tom, that person drawing that stereotype is the true racist.

Collis Temple and Dale Brown need to get the frick away from LSU sports. Both have done more damage than good.

No way man. There’s some behind the scenes bull shite going on. WaPo doesn’t come up with a random bit piece on LSU out of the blue. I don’t know jack about Temple but he’s obviously got some axe to grind and used whatever connection he had at WaPo to grind it. It bloody well reeks and I hope the wheels are turning in the background to muzzle the clown.

You lost me here. I don’t know this.
The entire power structure of Baton Rouge is run by black people, including LSU.
Blacks are a majority in Baton Rouge.
If you’re still blaming white people, then I’m not sure I can help you.

Collis is really going to play the poverty card here? Quite the take coming from a fricking slumlord.

What’s Collis Temple do for a living?

This site is whacking all references to a WaPo article critical of LSU and you hammer WaPo without considering the propriety of the Rant’s censorship?
If the article deserves criticism, publish it ( or, in this case, allow others to do so) and the tell us exactly what is inaccurate about it.
Censorship is never proper.
Seems like some here were pretty bent out of shape about cancel culture at one time.
