The article is focused on BR. I'm fully aware that racism is everywhere, but for some reason whenever we are discussing it towards ppl of color the hit dogs holler.

Listen (or read), we won't solve this today, perhaps not even tomorrow.

I've realized a long time ago that if a real conversation b/w adults cannot occur on such a topic with both parties not taking issue with the points of the other, then don't have the conversation at all.

And some people blame Dale Brown for the anonymous leaks on Wade. Temple is far more invested in the BB program, than the FB program. Mulkey and Johnson wont be safe either

This is the problem. You know there is racism in BR. You see it and you know it exist. Then when someone speaks of it they are labeled as a race baiter. You would rather it not be spoken on and we all go about our lives pretending.

Bullshite, only a racist sees racism around every corner. This is the least racist country in the world. There’s a certain demographic that is their own worst enemy. Can you figure out which demographic I am speaking of? Can’t get out of their own way.

I posted the link on p. 2 because others were asking about the OP's discussion.

The article juxtaposed Chris (struggling, 41 YO, black) with Kelly (huge contract, white) and uses Temple to lead the reader to conclude it's all because of racism.

The WaPo writer could just has easily used Tate but that wouldn't work would it. Or he could've used Saban. After all, the only reason Bama keeps Saban is because of the entrenched racism in Tuscaloosa. He hasn't earned it has he.

I didn’t read the article. Did it mention Tate? Why would you ask if he is complicit? Because he is black? You lost me there.

Do you think there is racism behind the hiring or contract of Kelly?

All you’ve done is vomit generalizations with zero substantiated evidence.

Ok. I'll play.

"prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized."

This is largely stroked by fear, some personal experience, or simply taught it.

Now in the words of L. Miles, "I'm busy, have a great day".

Do you want to have a real adult conversation are or you more interested in using responses with heavy word play to make a non-point?

I'm willing to have a real, non-threatening, two ppl over coffee type conversation.

No, he isn’t even the primary person in the article. The article is about pay disparity between what is effectively a grad assistant and the head football coach.
Collins is quoted in conversation with another person of color in reference to how BK speaks to people who are not perceived as important.

If you want to be mad, which I feel like you do. Then be mad at the writer, not Collis temple.

I was listening, but you’ve lost me now. This is the “black people can’t be racist” definition.

The grad assistant is a Temple lackey.

How would the WaPo even find him?

Temple planted the whole story.

I think the best man for the job, got the job.

From my experience, black people are more racist than anyone. You and Mr Tenple can have your opinion and I can have mine.

You waited a long long time. Let's have a talk. I am almost seventy years old and I am not racist. Why is it being pushed on me daily?
