Hell, in Arkansas they’ve now made cyclists running stop signs and lights “legal”

They can treat them as yield signs and proceed thru if no one else is driving through. It’s now given them the belief that they can run the lights and signs no matter what.

I hate bike riders!

Y'all. This is an epidemic.

Anyone ever tried to break a brake pad in half?

I've been in several city planning meetings involving the creation of bike paths. The cyclists will be all pro for taking up part of of a 2 lane street in order to have a bike path that hardly will be use by people riding bikes ,like it is their deserved entitlement. Then I shut them down inquiring how much road use tax do cyclists pay annually like semis do. That shuts them down quickly.

They probably just talk about it when you leave because they don't want retards clogging up their discussion.

How much do runners pay in taxes for sidewalks? Should we get rid of that budget too?

If they run the red light and you hit them they are at fault

They are required to follow the same traffic laws as you

They are entitled shits

They are the bane of my existence. Far from an unpopular opinion.

I’d says that’s a popular opinion. I live in a rural area that cyclists love. I fricking hate them, they back up traffic for miles, and refuse to pull over. The road is too curvy to ever pass. They will get to a stop sign and wait for the pack, and then block traffic to let them go. Plus, they look funny with the logo spandex and little rear view mirrors.

I take my family to these things called “bike trails.” Most cities have them. They are nice.

People who don't have cars use those to walk to work, or school, or a bus stop. At least, they do where I live.

No, but the cyclists should be relegated to the sidewalks.

Roads are expensive to build and maintain and designed for heavy and fast vehicles. Sidewalks are not.

Wrong. Sidewalks are for walking and running.

Also, most municipalities in the US do not maintain the sidewalks. Sidewalks are more dangerous for road bikes as they are uneven and cracked.

I wholeheartedly agree. I get so tempted to clip one of their handlebars as I drive past them just to watch them bounce and roll across the pavement. That would be awesome

Congrats on the future assault and potentially attempted murder charge champ.

Catching a charge to own the cyclists.

I know a guy thats perpetually in some kind of self inflicted conflict. He got into cycling and was hit somehow. He sued the shite out of the driver. Knowing him, I suspect it was something that was probably his own fault

You have clearly never ridden a bike.

Roads are dangerous for cyclists but the risk in my experience as a cyclist is due to vehicles not respecting the bike lane or just not paying any attention.

The sidewalks around me are all uneven and have several spots with large cracks that would pop my tire.

This board has such a hate boner for cyclists and I just don't encounter them much or the behavior you guys are constantly malding over.

Are there a-hole cyclists? Sure but a vast majority just want to ride their bikes safely.

I've had more bad experiences with assholes in cars going out of their way to try to hit or impede me than the opposite.
