I think the media days debacle/roll out of media proposal may have been the straw that broke the camel's back.

George promising that the longer they waited for the media deal, the better it would be was an all timer

I recognise that group.
The NCAA's requirement of needing 12 schools for a conference championship is the reason behind all the realignments.
They did change it but it was way too late. Once the realignments started, it became more about getting a smaller piece of a much bigger pie and some of the most attractive "assets" had already made the jump.

I’m sure that Washington et all already have under the table deals to move. They just don’t want the heat for the conference collapsing.
The new guy gets stuck with that.

PAC-12 is done.
Washington is too far away so they’ll dissolve into some mountain west/west coast thing.

This was inevitable when the PAC pushed the media deal announcement again.

Are y’all ready for the PAC 12 Thursday night matchup of Tulane and Rice?

What a complete disaster CU’s run in the PAC was, only 1 winning season

Yet somehow more Pac 12 CG appearances than other members

Assuming the PAC12 somehow survives (big if) and only loses 2-3 schools (Col, AZ, ASU), I think they add 5 schools to get back to 12.
SDSU
SMU
Tulane
Col St
Air Force or UNLV
If they add 6 to get to 14, then maybe Rice for academic/market reasons.

Oklahoma?
They aren’t giving up SEC money.
