Kiffin would make the most sense . Campbell May do it for more money but he should be able to get a better job . Kiffin is a good fit .

I know that’s meant as a jab, but Saban never was gonna leave for another college job and he’s openly said he regrets leaving.

I can’t think of a time a head coach left LSU for another college job. If you win here, you’re a lifer.

Anyhow, you’re right, Arkansas could be a destination job for the right coach.

How so? It's not like they're a long time member or their success brings prestige.

I would say the same for any school, it wasn't specific to Arkansas. I don't enjoy seeing a totally inert program on the yearly schedule.

Les Miles would make more sense to me. He has ties to recruiting grounds...especially Texas , Mississippi, and obviously, Louisiana. Arkansas, even with it's current slate of obstacles, is in a better position than a God awful Kansas program. Imho, he could stabalize the program relatively quickly (hell, he surely would beat the 4 rent a wins).

TLDR

Kiffin is a hard pass for me as a head coach.

Campbell is solid, but not spectacular.

Leach would be a home run.

The Hogs have flirted with Les once before. Why not?

You could say the same about Arkansas. Our best coaches in all sports like Nolan, Petrino, Nutt, Debriyn and Broyles were either fired for off the field issues or retired. Van Horn will likely retire here too.

You're right, they're actually worse off relative to other Big 12 programs than we are to others in our division

At this point, Arkansas has been in the SEC for 27 years. I’d venture the majority of this board doesn’t actually remember the SEC before Arkansas joined.

Didn't someone ask Joey Saltwater several weeks ago about that and he said, (nod, nod, wink, wink) have you ever seen Boca?

Which is nothing considering the history of college football. Additionally, Arkansas has finished ranked 5 times in those 27 years in the SEC, being an also-ran is status quo for them. So no, Arkansas being bad takes nothing from the conference.

Arkansas has never had a coach leave on his own to go to a "destination job". Funny how some LSU fans forget how sh it their program was for the first 80 years they existed

Many a coach would have been hired if not for this same sentence. When will people learn?

If you really want a guy, keep it secrete.

What??? Since the SEC started in 1933:
30’s: 1 losing season
40’s: 2 losing seasons
50’s: 3 losing seasons
60’s: 0 losing seasons
70’s: 1 losing season
80’s: 3 losing seasons
90’s: 7 losing seasons
00’s: 0 losing seasons
10’s: 0 losing seasons

Hardly shite except for 1decade.

By comparison, since joining the SEC in 1992, the Swine has had 12 losing losing seasons.

You’re a dumbass.

LSU is one of 12 teams with over 800 wins yet has been bad for 75% of there existence? Wow in that case Ark is a destination job for a first cut coach and not a stepping stone for an upcoming coach or a retirement job for some over the hill geezer looking to get over paid.
