It's not what's wrong with CFB. It's what's wrong with us, the fans. The coaches hold all the leverage in most situations and fans/big donors are wildly impatient. They demand excellence and want it immediately. When the demand FAR exceeds the supply, the producers (coaches) can get whatever they want. EVERYONE wants to win championships and reach the playoffs EVERY YEAR. But only very few can actually do so. If a guy doesn't have his team in the playoffs in 2-3 years, the fans/donors want him gone...and they want to pay "whatever it takes" to hire the coach who can get them there.
