Re: Miles and Arkansas. The Hogs were interested at that time because Miles’ buddy, Jeff Long, was their AD. Long is now at Kansas where Miles is. Miles had no serious interest in Arkansas but he used it to get more money out of LSU. Joe Alleva should have called his bluff, but he didn’t because he’s Joe Alleva.
The game has passed Miles by so I doubt Arkansas would even be interested. The only reason Miles has a job now is because of Jeff Long.

oddly enough that team went 5-3 in the SEC and finished 3rd in the West. Rumor from our 247 board is we’re going to try to lure Campbell away for $6 million and Kiffin is the fallback.

Holtz was fired after he and Broyles didn’t see eye-to-eye later in his tenure here and some other off the field stuff kinda wore out his welcome:
