Tomlin is a hell of a coach. I'm not sure how he would do at the college level, but I would be surprised if he didn't do well at LSU.

Dumb...

What does he know about NCAA rules, recruiting and running a college program?

What NFL coach has success in college after spending his career in the NFL? USC coach? Who else?

Just seems off to me...

Tomlin has had a great QB his whole nfl career...that matters

i'm sure all-world coach mike tomlin wouldn't have a problem getting recruits at LSU.

everyone is worried about tomlin being able to recruit. ffs.

he's not exactly a recluse like some other pro coaches.

That's a repeat of the same speculation.

Just don't see this happening IRL, guys. Everyone is repeating the same ramblings of just one radio guy...

I see him as being great in other other checkbox required though.

Dude has won a SB and gone to another and inbreds still manage to make this about race.

Truth. I’m pulling for an offensive coach, but we’re talking about Mike f*cking Tomlin. Any school in CFB would instantly have a top 25 recruiting class in year 1 literally just from announcing him HC. I can’t imagine what ours would look like

Tomlin would be an absolute home run hire. His name and SB ring alone would pull plenty of recruits in.

There is also 0 chance in hell he is going to leave the NFL and come to LSU so I dunno why people are getting worked up over this.

I don't think it would happen. The Rooneys would have to piss him off real good and that is not something the Rooneys do. That is something that LSU fans and boosters do to their coaches real well if a coach has a bad season. The Rooneys have been at it long enough to know if your coach has a "bad" season, sometimes it is not the coach's fault.

Plus, if LSU fans and boosters got shitty with him, I could see him saying frick it. There would be no shortage of NFL teams that would want to scoop him up

I’m with you but I do believe the amount of media attention he would get would surprise you.
